Bellingham

My dad been there almost three years in Independent now, but sees the caregivers downstairs and he says they're great. His doctor's office is in the building. I know the staff there helps him fill out VA paperwork. I think they do a great job. The activities are excellent. Dad plays cards twice a week. They work to engage the residents, don’t treat them like children, they have card nights, outings, and they let them speak up on what they want to do. They have a wonderful activities calendar; I wouldn’t mind living there. I think their transportation is wonderful and he loves it. Dad goes on outings and to the casinos. He says that's great, and I think they offer a great program. I think the value is pretty good, compared to other places it's excellent. I love his apartment; I love the layout as it's easy for him to get around. Dad is very safe and comfortable, and we feel safe and comfortable with him there. I have recommended it on many occasions and there are people living there now because of our recommendations.

My mom came from a quiet apartment where she didn't have much social, she really needed that, so everyone at Bellingham has just been wonderful to her. Everyone communicates really well and things seem almost seamless, which is impossible to do in an community, so she really feels like it's home and she is more than pleased. Any request that my mother ever has, it's always managed well, directed and taken care of. Anything from a leak in the kitchen or to questions with how to go about doing something at the community, so everyone has been patient and nice with my mother. Dining is such an important part of living at the community and she is always singing everyone's praises. The laundry is available for her and with housekeeping, the place is always spotless. She is in the process of getting a caregiver with doing her bed and they have been very helpful with setting that up. Maintenance is very rapid with their response to questions, they're very friendly and she knows all of their names. Overall, they can keep up the good work because even her friends sing praises of Bellingham; they're all thrilled with what goes on.

The activities are terrific. They have activities that are available to everybody and it's a pleasure to live here. Maintenance is really on top of everything inside the building and outside the building. The grounds are kept beautifully and the building itself is kept beautifully. The dining room itself is neat, clean and well kept, the service is good and there is a good menu variety. Management is excellent and I think it's an excellent value.

My mom lived there over 15 years and enjoyed her time there. I think she was overall satisfied with the dining; the staff were very nice. We were pleased with the services we received from all departments. I know she liked it there so it was worth it because she was happy.

I am also a senior citizen, I have at least four friends in some version of senior living as well as my sister-in-law here. From what I know of the cost at Bellingham, it's very reasonable. We've had very good interactions with the management team. My husband and I were the ones who negotiated her stay there. We've joined my sister-in-law several times at dinner, and everything was wonderful. They have an activities calendar and it looks like a nice thing to me, they're doing a nice job. Her place is always very clean. The staff, the management, they have all been supportive.

I am impressed with the value at this communtiy. The food is good and my dad is fine with the waitstaff. Housekeeping is doing a good job. My dad likes the couple of girls that he knows and they treat him nicely. His apartment is always clean when I visit. The staff at this community definitely respects the residents.

We chose this community for my mother-in-law because it was much more homey, family oriented, warm and not cold and stark. Management is outstanding! They're very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very attentive. They are on top of everything and there is no delay in anything. When we were looking at this place the activities looked outstanding as well. I think my mother-in-law is happy with the food and the servers seem to be good. Maintenance has helped with everything. My mother-in-law loves her apartment and her unit is spotless.

My mom is living at Bellingham and it's been good, it's reasonably priced for all the services and everything that is there. Management is accessible and responsive, she likes the wait service and there is variety in the dining menu. There are a lot of different activities going on there, maintenance in general is pretty good and the care staff is pleasant. She had an injury on her leg and they came to change the bandaging for a while doing a good job. So far, we have been satisfied with what is offered to us at the community.

My inlaws moved into this community because of the location and the fact that it was a little bit of a smaller community. It is reasonably priced for what they are getting. They like their apartment and feel safe. Everyone at this community has been good. We have had no bad interactions with anybody. My inlaws seem to be happy with the food. My mother in law has been happy with the service in the dining room. There seems to be some good choices regarding activities. The maintenance has been fine and their apartment is updated well.

When we were looking at different places, the staff at Bellingham was very helpful. My mother in law has been very pleased with the food from the dining room. The schedule of activities has a fantastic full calendar. I feel with the 24/7 person at the front desk and all the entrances are maintained and kept locked, that she is safe. Her apartment was sparkling clean when we moved her in. The building is getting ready to go through a remodel. There seems to be an investment in upgrading the community.
