The Breakers at Edgewater Beach

We chose this community because the residents are very friendly and talk to you and the atmosphere is quite nice. The management is almost perfect, the dining service is good and the maintenance is very good. This community has an awesome area on the third floor that is concrete and the puppies are allowed to run around and play there.

Management has been really accommodating in helping her adjust and they are helping make her feel at home. She says the food is really good and she is pleased with it. I think the housekeeping is excellent. Her place is very clean and it was clean when she moved in. When you look at everything that is involved, it is a good deal.

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach was chosen because of location, the residents who live there and the activities, and so far the value has been good. He likes the dining, we saw gardening activities and the swimming pool is pretty good. When he moved in, management met us in the back and helped us bring things up, which made things easier to move, so I think they manage the community well. They provided us with all the help we needed.

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach first and foremost was chosen for my mother because of the ratio of services and care to price point. Corners are cleaned, floors are regulary mopped and carpets are regularly vacuumed. They have a fantastic range of activities and the dining service is extraordinary. The management is also very warm to their staff, which means they took their positions humbly; everyone should be given raises because the kind of labor and care provided is priceless.

My husband and I chose this community because we have a nice sized apartment and I like the fact that we have a pool. I find that everyone in management is very helpful and easy to deal with. The food is wonderful. I'm very satisfied with the food and with the choices and the servers are excellent.

My brother-in-law heard the community was a nice place so that's the one we investigated and it checked all the boxes of what we wanted, one of the reasons we picked it because they have so many activities on different levels, a wide variety of activities.

I have been here for a year and a half and on the whole it's pretty good. Activities are good and The Breakers’ bus is one of the best things here. You get six chances to go shopping at the supermarket, pharmacy, or Aldi's or the bank. And once a week they go to the library, another time they go to the post office. They take you out to places of amusement, you go to the casino once in a while, or a ballgame when the Cubs are in town. On Saturdays they go to a multi-screen movie theater so you get a choice of films. It goes on forever, museums and so forth. The food quality is very good. I'd recommend it any time. I wouldn't recommend any place else.

Management is doing a good job and dining is excellent, the staff is very good.

They always have a variety of things to choose from at dinner and I look forward to the blueberry pancakes on Wednesday mornings. The food is good and the service is good. Jessica and Christine do an outstanding job with the activities. They offer a variety of activities and we always have activities to go to. Housekeeping comes in once a week and they clean up, everything is very good. Housekeeping is always cleaning around this place. The building is very well maintained. I'm very satisfied with the value because the essentials are taken care of.

You always think that it should be cheaper but from what I understand hearing about other places, we get excellent care and value for our money, so I am very pleased. The food is very good the activities are great. They have a swimming pool, library, exercise room, they have all the amenities senior places have. There is a movie theater and a bus. Housekeeping and maintenance do a very nice job and are very courteous about it.
