The Breakers at Edgewater Beach

My apartment is 800 square feet and for one person that is fine. Management is very responsive and are always open to whatever suggestions we make. They try to keep everybody happy. I like the food and the menu changes every week. We just got new buses so I can't complain about the transportation.

I feel both, safe and comfortable living at this community. I think the price is fair and I am very much happy with my apartment. There are so many activities offered to us. From day-to-day, we have exercise The food is very good, there is a lot of menu variety and the service is staffed. Management addresses issues, so they've been good. It's been an excellent experience.

I can't think of one bad thing about The Breakers. Management did a great job. I thought the dining was great, no complaints. The activities were great but my mom didn't take advantage of them like we were hoping she would. I thought there were plenty of activities to choose from. My mom used the transportation a few times and it was great.

I think the price is excellent. I get room and board and two meals a day. What more could I ask for? It is fantastic and a really great place to live. Their dining room is excellent and the servers are wonderful. The food is very good and I love that I don't have to cook. They have all kinds of things going on here and the activities are fantastic. Every day they have a movie, bingo games and they have outings. They have a popcorn maker on the second floor in the game room. This is a very clean place and it is a pleasure being here. I am very content here and I couldn't ask for more. It's ideal here!

Management keeps us informed with scheduling and things like that so we know what's happening during the week. The food is pretty good. The housekeeping is good. I have a very good housekeeper. Maintenance keeps everything up to date. If we see something that needs to be fixed we'll let them know and they take care of it right away. I love when the bus goes to Jewel and other stores, it's very convenient. I'm also able to go to my bank on the days when they go. The transportation service has been very good and we got a new bus so it's great.

I love Chicago and I always want to come back to Chicago. I lost my husband this year and the Breakers is a wonderful place for me to be. The access to the Lake Michigan is wonderful. I like the location and the transportation. All the staff and everyone are wonderful. I am very new but at this stage the management is very helpful with everything. They are very respectful. The dishes are incredibly wonderful. They have enough choices. There are a lot of different options with the activities. I am grateful for them and they are all incredibly helpful to us. Housekeeping is good. Everything is very nice and clean. Anything you need help with they are very helpful.

We chose the community because of the inclusivity of the environment, the meals and services. The dining room itself is a beautiful envrionment, the meal planning is good, the amount of fish being offered is excellent, and the seating is good, I think they're doing a nice job. I think my aunt is really enjoying the movies and she has plans to use the pool. Overall I'm very pleased with the situation for my loved one.

I knew someone here before recently moving in. I like what they offer in the dining room, I've never had a problem. I am sitting here looking at the menu, I'm going down at 2:30p.m. and I can’t wait! There's lots of activities to do. I haven’t had much experience, but so far I'd say they are great. It think it's a very good variety. So far, so good on the housekeeping. I like it. I am pleasantly surprised.

My husband and I are very happy at this community. The staff and the food is nice and there is a lot to do.This community is wonderful and I love the location. You are even allowed to have pets here.

The value at The Breakers is very nice and both my husband and I feel safe and comfortable at the community. I am satisfied with the accommodations provided and when my husband's family came to visit, they were treated with good service as well. In terms of maintenance, the building maintenance is fine, our apartment is good and when the lady comes to clean our place, it's done very good. Regarding activities, they're consistently offered for the residents and the physical therapy has been very good. Also, the dining is great and I am satisfied with the wait service as well as the menu variety that is provided, so it's been a good experience thus far.
