Bridgeport Place Assisted Living

My place at University Place was being remodeled. So I was only at Bridgeport for a short time. The management was very nice to me and very helpful. The housekeeing was great. They did a great job!

My wife and I have been here almost two years. The food is quite tasty and there is always enough of it. They try hard to have activities going here all the time. The transportation service is quite helpful. Housekeeping is excellent, they keep the place clean and are always available.

I live two miles away and she saw it, liked the apartments, and it's all coming together.There's a lot to it, food, activities, care, and the value is good. She invited a friend to visit her from Seattle and all the family has been there to visit. It feels like home for her. The care givers are on top of things. Leslie, in maintenance, is just wonderful, she can fix anything. I feel the community is very airy. I like that they bring in musicians and have brunches, the activities look consistently varied and good. The dining room is open, spacey, plenty of room for walkers, nice bright windows, and a great variety of food. I think the management team did very well, it was a much easier process moving in than I expected. The residents, staff, everyone has been friendly to her.

We have a really active calendar of activities. The housekeeping staff are really good. We have three different housekeepers and they do our rooms once a week. The maintenance staff is good and I use the transportation all the time and it is wonderful.

I found the nurse manager Deborah to be very caring, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Everyone seems to be really personable and friendly. My mom doesn't really participate in the activities, but I think over time she will, what they offer seems to be pretty well rounded. Maintenance came in and hung pictures in a timely manner, so far so good.

I chose this community for my brother because my sister used to stay there so I'm familiar with it. The management team seem very professional and courteous. From what I've seen, the healthcare staff are very caring and very responsible as well. They have lots of activities and my brother has the activity calendar posted in his room.

Comparatively to what is out there on the market, the value at Bridgeport Place for my mother is good. Between my sister and I, we can sleep at night knowing that she is safe, which means a lot to us because we don't have to think twice about mom. Management has all been very professional and attentive, and every time mom asks for something, it's done in a prompt and professional manner, so I really have no complaints with maintenance either. When I look around and if I ever see anything, I can bring it to the maintenance department's attention, so I give them high praise. I eat at the community and play Bingo with my mother at least once or twice a week, so I am satisfied with those services that are offered to her too. Regarding cleanliness, she really likes the housekeeping and is really pleased with that service. It has a lot to do with the woman who comes in to do that because she is an absolute gem with her marvelous people skills. She is just a wonderful, wonderful lady because when she comes in, she not only takes care of everything mom’s needs, but her people skills are something that mom raves about each week. Overall, it's been a satisfactory experience for my mom and every time I come across looking for a place, I always mention Bridgeport Place. Always.

The management goes above and beyond for her and I would say it is a good value. The food is good from the dining room and my mom really enjoys people watching while there. Housekeeping is good and also very responsive when needed for certain clean ups. I am very impressed with the person in maintenance.

My aunt is very happy with her apartment at Bridgeport Place and I think she has one of the largest at the community. She was able to bring most of her furniture, so she is very comfortable in her room. In terms of services, we're very happy with her housekeeping, it's always clean there when we go and maintenance is doing great, so she is happy with everything. When she did need help, the healthcare staff was right there for her, so they're accessible and responsive to her needs. I'd tell people to check it out, visit the others and see what you think. We liked it because it did both the Assisted and Independent kind of together, so she gets assisted when she needs it, otherwise they let her be. Overall, it has been a good experience for her and I don't hear her say anything about leaving anymore.

I didn’t look around; my husband did a few years back. I think Bridgeport Place is good for my mother-in-law; it's not too big, but big enough. Management is doing wonderfully. The move in went well. Maintenance is wonderful, and housekeeping has been great. My mother-in-law seems to enjoy eating there a lot. She's been going down to the cafeteria which is really good. The activities are also very good. The caregiver staff has been just wonderful. She's been there a couple of months and we know she is safe and comfortable.
