Bridgeport Place Assisted Living

My wife and I have lived her since 2017, August, and consider the services very good. I am pleased with the building, management, and care. We have a two bedroom apartment and that takes care of our needs. We have our own bathrooms. We feel very comfortable. First and foremost, the front end management is always there if we need them. Our needs are their interest, and I feel my wife would say the same. Mona and her daughter in housekeeping do a very good job keeping the place clean and what have you. I've not had a problem whatsoever and they have answered any call or request I've come up with. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are done quite well at Bridgeport Place. Amy in activities tries to keep folks active, get things going in the afternoons and evenings. Maintenance is L.G.'s area of responsibility, she’s Johnny-on-the-spot when you need her, and she does take care of it. I would recommend it highly, because it meets the needs of residents. It’s very neat and clean, and that is especially important to seniors.

My husband and I have found the front-end managers to be very willing to help people. I don’t need any assistance, but my husband does. The caregivers have been very, very good. Housekeeping is excellent, and anything I’ve asked to have repaired, maintenance has done it. We've used the van here a couple times, it has a lift for the wheelchair. It's easy to schedule and reliable. I think the price is reasonable. It's not cheap, but it's adequate care, things are clean, food is reasonable, so it's a fair value.

I moved my clients in this August. What I really like about them is the size of the community and how updated it is is a nice bonus. The staffing and the care is amazing. The family has been happy with Housekeeping. The maintenance is doing really well. They are one of the best-kept, well-run communities. The competition doesn’t hold a candle to Bridgeport Place.

Transportation is one of the reasons I came to Bridgeport Place in the first place. Maureen goes out of her way, waits for me and takes me, so I don't know what I'd do without her. She has the patience, is loving and I can't believe how well she treats all the people. Besides transportation, the management at the community is accessible and responsive to my issues and my housekeeping lady is excellent. If I have any problems, Leslie told me to go to her and she will correct what she can. She is an ambitious and intelligent lady, so we have really been blessed with her. Overall, I am satisfied with the services offered here.

Management has been good, we had one meeting with them talking about my father's needs and what he is getting and that went well. He is happy with the food. The staff are great. There are plenty of activities offered and he has been participating in the exercises. Housekeeping is great, as is transportation. The care is good. They manage his pills. I would recommend it, we have had no major complaints.

We were there almost every day and knew all of the staff. The grounds look great. Leslie and her team of cleaners are just fantastic. It was excellent. They were on top of it 100%. The management there really took care of my parents and went above and beyond. We were so happy to have them there for the time being.

I think it is a good community. My mother does not participate in many of the activities offered, but she does enjoy the scenic drives. She says she always likes the food and the service in the dining room. The care seems to be going well. The value is good and her room seems to be pretty clean and taken care of. I've haven't had any major complaints.

The management always answers our questions and is available to offer whatever we asked for at the time. They always handle everything efficiently and on time. We have never had a problem with housekeeping. They always handle everything efficiently and on time. The on-site Maintenance girl Leslie is 100%. She is caring, efficient, and she's always there. It's like she works 24 hours, I don’t know how she does it. I think everyone has been very efficient overall.

My sister and I looked at a lot of places. This is the closest to us but also worked out that this is the best place. We are very glad she is there. Mom moved out of a house she was in for 60 years. This was a difficult move. She will occasionally say she misses her home. But this is a lot safer where she is now. Maureen is wonderful. I know she is very busy. When I need anything cared for, I tell Maureen and it is done. But she is always so friendly. Everyone there is friendly and professional. It is a huge relief to my sister and I. I would steer anyone there. I would tell them to look around and then come to Bridgeport Place.

Due to her dementia the best I can hope for is that she is comfortable and happy and as healthy as possible. When I first brought my mom there, she fought me tooth and nail. After a month went by, she said it was the best decision she made. She loves this place. She really likes it there. It is her home now. Everyone treats her with respect. They have tried to get her engaged, but she is content sitting in the lobby, drinking her coffee. They have plenty of activities offered, though. Whenever I have been there, it is very tidy. The housekeepers are helping with laundry and that seems to be fine. One of the things that I was trying to key in on is what my mom's needs were. I wanted to find a smaller place. This is the right size for her. If you are someone that's looking for activities and decent meals, then this is a good place.
