Caley Ridge Assisted Living

The staff there, the people I interact with, Kendra at the front desk, Rebe, and Debbie are always great and friendly. There are great people that work there, very caring people. Ada, the Activities Coordinator, does an outstanding job. They really take their time to do social activities and take them places and do stuff so it's pretty good. The people doing maintenance are terrific. I would definitely recommend Caley Ridge all in all.

My mom has been living at Caley Ridge for 7 months and I have to say that Jake and Mike, the head nurses, are excellent! Debbie in the management department was very helpful during our move-in process as well. My mom loves the soup! She literally raves about the soup and can make a whole meal out of it. Her friends have been there for lunches and dinners with her, which we like because anyone can join her for a $5 fee. We've also used the room within the dining where you can have up to 12 people and have a private party. Donald is one of the dining room staff members that have been very helpful with my mom and assisting her during her meals. Even though my mom doesn't participate in many of the activities, the activity sheets made a very positive impact on us when we were choosing a facility. I have to say that this level of quality is just wonderful.

My mother lives at the community and I believe, for the most part, that the value is fair for the services received. Despite the few issues we have had I think it is a good place. I'm satisfied with her stay at Caley Ridge.

Overall I think the community was a good place for my mother. The activities were fine and they always offered a lot. Maintenance was helpful. The building was kept up nicely. The driver was really friendly the few times she used it. I think the caretakers were really good. I really liked the staff.

We particularly like Deana, she's great! Overall condition of the building is good. The value is definitely good.

Value is fair for the market.

I started checking places out and Caley Ridge was the third place I checked and I just liked the feel of it. It did seem more like a community than a nursing home and I never got a hospital feeling being there. Deb in management was very good, very personable, very friendly, very open and I got a good feeling about it from her as well. I've eaten there three times with my mom and I thought the food was good all three times. The housekeeping has also been good and they have been doing her laundry. Overall, I like that it feels like a community.

I've been really pleased and happy with the management. They're really good at communicating with me. I think the activities are really good. I get letters when they have events going on. I think my mom receives really good care. I've been really happy. I've eaten there with her several times and I think it's great. I think there is a good variety of food to choose from. She always gets what she wants to eat. I feel very comfortable knowing where she is with the care that she receives. Everything looks nice and clean and the residents are very comfortable. There are flowers and it's always very well maintained.

I think the value is great; it's comparable in cost to anything in the area. We have made the offer for her to move any place else that she wants, like when she is complaining about the food or something, to which she says in response, “No, this is my home.” They have been great since the buy-out and turnover; we have not had any problems at all. She participates fully in the Bingo and card games which I guess for her stage in life is okay for her. She definitely gets to the store once per week so I don't know how they figure that out, but they make it happen. The management recognizes me when I walk in and they know who I belong to. I could knock on the door of the nurse and he knows exactly who I am, and why I might be there. She feels at home, and that is the best part.

We chose them because they had wider halls, newer construction, and the fact that they also accepted private pay and Medicaid if that transition was needed, and without having to change my mom's room if that happens. Although there has been a change in management, they seem to be very responsive whenever I have any questions. They have some nice parties over there like wine and cheese or ice-cream, as well as different seasonal celebrations. Housekeeping is always really nice. She is comfortable and she said it's a really nice place and they take care of her. I find the aides to be respectful, knowledgeable and responsive. My mom has Glycoma so she has to be administered eye drops twice a day. The aide will literally track her down and give them to her on the spot. I really like and appreciate that.
