Cardinal Village

This community was selected for my father-in-law because it was right across the street and when we toured it we liked it. The apartment space my father-in-law has is a very good size. The housekeeping does a good job and when I visit it looks lived in and that makes me happy knowing he is settling in. We have shared a meal with him here and it was very good. They activities department has a ridiculous amount of things for them to do here. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and eager to help everyone. Overall, we are very happy so far.

The management isvery easy to work with and keep us well informed on things. The caregivers are excellent. Everybody seems to be in tune with everybody and with the patients. They all have their little idiosyncrasies and the staff seems to be in tune with everybody and what they like and don't like. They seem to have something going on all the time and the residents and families are encouraged to engage in the activities. I haven't had any complaints.

The caregivers are compassionate, considerate, everybody I came in contact with took care of his needs and was very professional and courteous. They have compassion for the residents. They always keep them interacting with what's going on around them and get them involved. They do very good and I think the variety of activities helps a lot. I think it's very well planned. I think the dining and food is very good. They make sure he gets the food that he needs and make sure that he's eating. The management staff are very courteous, polite and very patient. Every time I come to see him he's doing fine and if anything is going on, they don't hesitate to give me a call to let me know what's going on. I'm pretty satisfied with everything going on. I recommend they just keep on doing what they're doing.

Cardinal Village is worth its weight in gold. When you factor in care she is getting, the comfort and peace of mind, it's worth it in totality. It’s hard to put a price on care like that. Management is fantastic. They are super caring people. Dining is fantastic. It's like a restaurant, even like home cooking. They have a lot of activities. It's a very nice place. Very well maintained and cared for. The caregivers are outstanding. The care that they give, the compassion that they have, and the communication after something happens are excellent.

I would say we would definitely recommmend it to a friend or colleague. Everyone from the receptionist to the maintenance guy has been nothing but kind to us. Overall I've been happy. It was by far the one place that had a huge variety of different activities and I know my mom has participated in some of them. She's more into the interactive ones. I've been really impressed with the socialization they have there, the different varieties and how they bring everyone together and try to get them to join in. The Activities Director there is amazing. Any time I've been there or had a question, the management is always available. All of the staff is pretty much available or a nurse would be. If we have any questions or she has a need they're always very helpful with finding out an answer or taking care of it. Just the overall experience in going around, we've liked Cardinal Village.

My mother is 95; she has no short term memory. They hug her, hold her, play with her, and tell her that they love her. She feels loved there. It is a really amazing group of people that work with the residents. They work as hard as they can to make sure my mother gets what she will eat and the nutrition she needs. I had them change her wardrobe once. It was wobbly; it was taken care of immediately when I put in a work order. I can't complain about anything. She feels loved.

I chose this for my husband because it was close to his home. I've been real satisfied with the management. The food looks good and the people who serve it are really nice. The laundry has been great. They meet all of his needs in a friendly and good way.

I'm very, very pleased. I dealt with Angela Carter and Michelle, they're both in the marketing end of it and they answered all of the questions, took a lot of time, and they were obviously very concerned for the resident and the family that was going to be placing them. The activities are varied, and they do try to encourage people to be involved with them. In the beginning my client was not involved at all and now he's been there five weeks and he is now participating in things. There were so many stimulating activities. He has Alzheimer's, and I didn't want him sitting in a room, just wasting away. The people there are extraordinarily kind, and seem to know their clients.

The caretakers at the community seem informed of everything. My mom fell recently and they immediately got her to the ER for stitches. They were very attentive; they kept an eye on her really well over the following days to ensure there were no other incidents. The people there are so attentive to the residents. I am so pleased with that place. My mother has been there since the very beginning, I just have been so happy with everything there. They are great. I'm perfectly happy with her care and the things they do there. They are incredible, they really are.

I think the value for what my father is receiving is good. The management staff has been accessible and responsive when needed. I think the dining services have been good and they have a nice variety. My dad chooses not to participate in any of the activities, but I'm sure they're good. The care and housekeeping have also been good. I have been satisfied with having him there.
