Carriage Court of Memphis

I think the value is very good. We did a lot of shopping around and I thought this community was one of the more reasonable. Mom has reported that she is happy. Since they've been quarantined in their room, my mother reported one morning she was really depressed and sitting there crying in her room. At that time the nurse came in to give her her meds. She sat down, put her arm around mom, talked to her and made her feel better. I don't know the nurses name. I thought that was very kind. It meant a lot to my mother, but a lot to me because I can't hug her. The emails that have been sent out have been informative and good. I know some of it is things are changing so fast and their main thing is taking care of the residents, as it should be.

The response time to a work order with maintenance is good. There is a good variety of activities and enough outings offered. The variety of the menu is also good.

We are having his 100th birthday party and they are helping us celebrate! The Activities Director has a lot going on and there are plenty of things that he is interested in doing. He likes Bridge and exercise and they have those. They had a party for Mardi Gras and he never complains that they have nothing to do.

This community is a very open and cheerful place. The folks that welcomed us in were all really friendly. The management is very professional and very caring. They understood exactly what we were goin through and helped us feel like we were making the right decision. The food is mostly very tasty, and I know my mother in law is getting at least three good meals a day. The dining area is clean and very welcoming, and the servers obviously care for the residents. It looks like they have a good selection of activities, and the young lady that's leading the group is very lovely and friendly. The care staff has been very nice.

The dining has been great, her room is spotless and the building is very clean and up to date. The caregivers are very patient with my loved one even though she is hard to get along with and anytime an issue comes up I get a phone call. Compared to other places we have checked out the price is very fair. We have just been blown away by how nice everyone is and how well she has been treated. We are very pleased. We experienced assisted living with my dad in a community in Memphis which we thought was nice but it doesn't even compare to Carriage Court. We are very happy.

I chose this community for my father because the minute I walked in, it was so bright with beautiful decorations up for Thanksgiving. It looked so welcoming. The healthcare staff introduced themselves, and now they check on him as well as call me. The maintenance director is available for anything, and the housekeeping has been wonderful. They have a lot of activities, and the dining is very good. Management was very helpful, kind, and explanatory. The price is much better than most other places I checked with, but to be lower priced and still get excellent care, it's a real blessing. All in all, he feels safe and comfortable, and the apartment is nice. I haven't met one person that hasn't been above and beyond what I would hope to have.

The one thing that eases my mind is that I know she is safe there. They were very accommodating and answered all my questions. From what I've seen on the menu in the elevator they have an excellent variety in the dining. It does seem like they have a variety of activities for the residents. I think the building maintenance is fine. I had an issue with TV and they came right up. The care staff are very polite to her and my mom can be difficult sometimes. They are very caring to her and check on her a lot. I have no complaints.

Mother's been there close to three years and we love the place and love the people who run it. She likes the food there and the activities are available there. They have cook-outs, entertainers, bingo, exercises, and there's always puzzles, it's wonderful. They are taking care of her, her apartment is nice, and Mom will tell you she loves it there.

My mom is moving out of Carriage Court of Memphis, but my relationship with the community has really been a godsend and I really appreciate it. My mother hates to leave, so it's been a wonderful place and I have enjoyed the employees. We really experienced the care and for the most part, it's wonderful. They keep things very nice and when you walk in, it smells good and the place looks beautiful. They have one of the most sweetest and enthusiastic Activity Directors they could ever hope for. Being in a small community has a lot of advantages.
