Castle Pointe at Baywinde

My mother lives at Castle Pointe at Baywinde and I think management is both, knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions. In terms of services, she has needed light bulbs in the past, but the maintenance people were really great with that, otherwise the housekeeping service seem very good at what they do and the staff there is friendly. In general, the activities seem good and they seem to keep my mother happy with dining, so it's been a good experience.

No one is perfect, but all in all they are pretty darn good.

I think it is the best place. There is a variety of activities and they are run very smoothly. If you see something has to be repaired and you put in a work order it is done within a week. I have been here 7 years and I am very happy. The people coming here say the same thing; it's a great place to be.

I chose this community for my Aunt because of convenience and availability. I also found this to be the most reasonably priced place. The management is outstanding and they've been bend over backwards helpful. The availability of the food is great and it sounds like the food is delicious. The dining room seems to be well received, it's beautiful and the servers are amazing. I guess the kids all dressed up and put on a senior prom last week. They all wore their gowns to work and all of the residents came down in their fancy clothes as well. The housekeeping, laundry and maintenance is outstanding. They're all amazing.

My wife and I have lived at Castle Pointe at Baywinde since 2017 and while the place is one of the more expensive, we get a lot more service than other places with lower prices, so we're getting a high value for our money.I am very happy with Happy Hour on Thursday because there is music and a variety of things to drink. One of the big advantages in Rochester is music and our school of music puts on music programs at noon time, so we plan bus trips down there to see outstanding concerts. The one thing I am impressed with is that every month we have a residents' meeting and people can ask question or object, so overall it's been a great experience and we recommended the community to several people.

I always thought it was very pretty. I took the tour and was impressed by it and mom and dad moved in. They’ve only been there three weeks. It seems to be run beautifully and there's a lot of things for people to do if they want to do it. They’ve said the food is pretty good and the variety on the menus is okay. The activities seem wonderful, I see the other residents doing them. Housekeeping has been in once and it went fine. Everything looks immaculately clean wherever I go in the community. Outside is always cleared, salted, and accessible in winter, and it's beautiful outside in spring and summer. The value is very good. From what I’ve seen so far it's a beautiful place and people seem to really enjoy it.

I picked this place to move to because I have loved it ever since it went up. I love this place and I always have. There is everything here you need. Between the transportation and the other things they do I think it is great. I love my apartment. It really feels like home already. I love my bay window. The management staff were very easy to talk to. The ambassador idea is really good and it worked out really well. The food is good. The service is good and they look out for you. I had surgery and had to use a walker so they came and carried my tray for me. I am looking forward to the book club and I think the scenic rides will be lovely. The maintenance staff is prompt and quick with the service.

We went to two other places and Castle Point was very bright and you saw people. The other places that we looked at we didn't see any people doing anything. The management is very, very nice. They have activities that we enjoy. The housekeeping and laundry is very good. They keep the place looking very nice. Between the maintenance and the housekeeping people it always looks very nice. We take the shuttle to church on Sundays. The transportation is very good.

The housekeepers are doing a good job, they get everything back in a timely manner. Regarding the activities, I go down and listen to the Wonders of the World and the music. Overall, I'd say it's reasonable.

I have been in Castle Pointe at Baywinde since they opened up the place and I haven't had any problems with anybody. While I don't do too many activities anymore because I am 95 years old, activities here are entertaining and well planned. As for management, they're respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive towards for my needs.
