Chestnut House

I am satisfied with the price, services and accommodations my mother receives at the community. The healthcare staff is very careful and intuitive with what is going on. They have always been pretty high class and have always done a good job, so I have no reason to think they're slacking on anything during the Coronavirus. I know they'll continue to provide the same service and care they've always had.The management emails updates and puts posts online, so in general, I am pleased with how they're doing things.

We haven't had any issues so far and it seems to be managed and run well. Everybody is very friendly. If you have a problem of any kind they try to look into it. They have church services and bingo and things like that for them to do and my mom is able to get her nails done. I think they do pretty well with the activities. My mom's room is kept the cleanest of all the places that she has been in. We have been very happy with the housekeeping. The maintenance staff is very friendly and they will say that if you need anything to let them know. My mom seems to be cared for. They are very nice and they seem to be knowledgeable and very friendly and willling to help.

What I appreciate about the whole place is that they do try to treat my cousin like a human being. Everything I had heard about the community beforehand was true, and I love it. Management's general philosophy on taking care of people made me comfortable with bringing him in. The healthcare staff is in there, and everyone cares about the residents. Maintenance came to setup the TV for him quickly, which was important to him, and the building looks satisfactory. Everything is clean, and I don't see anything around that is in disarray. They offer a nice selection of activities, and if there is interest in something, the administrators try to set something up. Overall, my perspective is that with him being safe and fed and with someone handling his care, it's a great value.

Management is pretty good. They are available, and if I leave a message, they get back to me quickly. My dad seems to like the food, and the dining servers do a a pretty good job. The activities are pretty good. The activities director makes a point to reach out to him to get him involved. He can be reluctan,t but once he gets involved in an activity, he enjoys it. The building seems fine. The care is very good. We visit pretty regularly, and we hear a lot of good things and stories from the people that work here and their interactions with them. When we are here, we are treated very well.

The community is close to where dad used to live, so he can still get to his church and such. We fell in love with the place the moment we saw it. They fix really healthy meals for the residents. Now that dad's been there a little bit they finally talked him into participating and he has a good time with bingo, dominoes, and trivia. Entertainers come in and speakers, it's very interesting. The housekeeper is wonderful. She does a great job cleaning, laundry, and changing his bedding. The care givers do a good job, I'd say they are the greatest people. For what he gets the price is good.

My mother moved out because she was only there for a trial stay, but the value was definitely there. The healthcare staff were always attentive, helpful and she couldn't say enough about them. The building looked very nice and she was just amazed at how nice the girls, and few guys, on staff were. The folks in dining really tried with they offered the residents, so I have to give them credit. If she had questions, they were answered by management. Overall, she felt safe, comfortable and it just amazed me at how inexpensive it was to anything around, plus you get the housing. Everything was top notch.

The caregivers appear to be very nice. I am very happy with them. There is a comfort and ease of mind where I feel she is taken care of and she is happy. My mom always says that she likes it there and they are nice to her.

It's a very friendly, warm atsmophere and everyone is doing their job, so I really can't say enough good about the people working there. They're always smiling, engaging with the residents and if there are any issues, they call to tell us things aren't normal. The place isn't at all instutionalized, like other places, so we have recommended several people that have already come there when there has been availability.

The nurses are really good with her and the assistants have always been considerate and nice. It's kept up well. It's a nice, clean facility inside and out.

Management has always been very cooperative, lets me know of anything going on and are on top of everything. The food always looks good and is well presented. The person who does the housekeeping is very good and makes sure things are always taken care of. The building is always kept clean, they have the inside decorated nicely and they try to decorate for various holidays. They have a nice array of flowers when they are in bloom or shrubs that make the grounds look pleasing. The nurses are excellent and the personal care assistants seem to be very helpful and well trained.
