Countryside Manor

We visited other places and it seemed like the television was mostly based on the staff's taste, but on a Sunday morning I'll go in and they'll have country or gospel singing. I've liked that. I really like the cathedral ceilings and the size is great. It looks like my mother-in-law is actually eating. One other place she was in she got really, really thin. I think housekeeping does a really good job. I've gone in on Sundays when her place is a huge mess, and we'll come back and her place is spick and span. I know the woman who does the bathrooms and stuff, and she does a great job. It's a completely different place after she's done. I think the caregivers have been great too.

If I have any type of requests or need questions answered, everything seems to be answered satisfactorily. The food seems to be okay, and both my parents seem to enjoy it. The dining area is a nice atmosphere. Recently they had a tea party for all the ladies, which I was kind of impressed with. If they need some new light bulbs or something, I make a request and that is done in a timely manner. Transportation has really helped out a lot. When I make the request, they get everything set up and everything has worked out well for getting my mom to the doctor and stuff. I am also pretty satisfied with the healthcare staff. i haven't had any problems.

He lived there for three months but moved out because he needed final hospice care, but he always felt safe and comfortable. He always ate everything and there was a good variety. They seem to try to offer a lot of things. It was cleaner than my house at home. The maintenance was very good. They helped us numerous times. Once in a while we had a last minute appointment and so we had to schedule the transportation last minute. They were good at trying to accommodate us. The caregivers were always friendly and called you by name. I saw them treat all the residents wonderfully so I knew it wasn't just because I was there that my husband's care was so great.

It is expensive everywhere but this has been the most value of any place that my parents have been. I feel a lot better about what we are spending. The management staff has been excellent. Jody is amazing. She is really, really good. They have a lot of activities. My mom is more involved there than she has ever been. The facility is maintained well.

I think the value is good. Everything seems to be in good repair. I think the room is always clean. There's enough to do, it's just a matter of how much they want to participate. There is exercising, crafts and outings; I think it's the right balance. I'm very satisfied with that service over there. The staff seems to be responsive.

My mom likes having her own bathroom. I think maintenance is doing a good job. I think they do a good job for what they do as far as the cleaning. She doesn't seem to want to participate in many activities, but I think they have enough things to do, so that's good.

We've had a good experience with them so far. My father says very nice things about the food there. The healthcare staff seems to be very caring, kind, and patient. The maintenance guy was there right away to hook up my dad's new television. So that was very good. We checked around a number of places, and Countryside Manor seemed like it would be the best fit for him.

We have been very satisfied with my mom's stay. She uses the transportation for recreational things, and that's been fun. The housekeeping and laundry is very good and consistent. I do know that they do offer activities for the residents. I know she does feel safe and comfortable living there.

The value is good. I think it's nice that they have their parties all the time. Once a month they have a party for families to come in. They just had one where they had an Easter egg hunt, and in January they had a Let it Snow event. They bring in somebody to come in and play guitar or piano for live music, and then they have a luncheon. The service and variety on the menu are pretty good.

I just always hear good things about it from people who have family there and wanted something closer to where we live. Once it gets better and mother-in-law gets more used to it she can go across the street every day for the activities. The food always looks and sounds good. He room always looks clean and the maintenance staff was very helpful at move in. The care staff is very nice. It's just that they had to adjust to her. The girls are very nice and put up with a lot from her. They're very respectful, they're so sweet.
