The Estate at Hyde Park

It is expensive but it is the best value in the area compared to what you get elsewhere. My mom's apartment is very good. I got her one of the best rooms I think. Eileen, in management, put in some institutes and new rules regarding safety, she reorganized some of the personnel into a more effective team and she has been very communicative with the family members. So far it has been very good. Janice and Denise at the front desk are overlooked but help me when I need something. They do a good job making sure everything runs smoothly. The food is good and the residents seem to enjoy it. It seems to be organized fairly well. Annette and Kim do a great job with the activities and the residents enjoy it. They take the residents on outings and have people come in for entertainment. The housekeeping lady does a wonderful job. The laundry sometimes gets a little high but then the next day when I come in it is done. Her heater went out when we had a cold snap. Kevin, in maintenance, got a new one the next day. He has been very good. I had a couple batteries go out in smoke detectors and Jordan, in maintenance, was always so responsible and got me what I needed. When maintenance has been needed, they respond. They do a very good job with the building and it always looks good. The care has been wonderful. Anytime I have any problems the caregivers will take care of it themselves or they contact her personal physician if they need to.

It's a beautiful facility, the location, a great warm feeling that you get when you're there, they're positive and caring, everyone was helpful and had a good attitude. The activities all seem great, my mom went on one outing and they had a good time. The housekeeping is good and maintenance has been very helpful. Everybody seems very caring, concerned and engaged. They're giving my mother great care and the care they're taking with me is impressive because they have to walk me through it, they're trying to give me as much information as they can because my mother can't communicate. They've really taken the time to give me as much information, they've been very sweet with me and my mother.

I think my mom's room is very nice. In terms of dining, recently I noticed my mother wasn't totally happy with what she ordered. We were sitting with another couple who mentioned that she could order something else. She ended up getting a grilled cheese sandwich which she wolfed down. I was pleased with that because she is very slight in weight. She really liked the grilled cheese sandwich. The servers are lovely to her. I feel safe when she travels with them for the transportation services.

This community meets our needs and we really like it. We like the size of it, how it is managed and the staff is great. Management is great and my mom must be enjoying the food because she has gained a lot of weight since moving in. She is very social and she likes to be around people. There is always something for her to do. There is never a time where she is sitting around with nothing to do. Everyone who works here are very nice. They seem to know her personally. Her place is always very clean and the building looks great. Everything is fresh and looks good.

The directors are great and when I need help, they're right there to help me, especially Aniya. We've worked together with Judy on a few things and she's very good at her job. They seem like they pretty much have their act together. Overall the care is good and if there is anything that we need, they're helpful. The building seems very well maintained and clean. I think they have nice activities and they even take the residents out every once in a while. I like the activities and think they're sufficient. The dining room servers are very courteous and willing to work with my wife, willing to talk to her and spend time with her.

I thas been almost two years since my mom moved in and I think the caregivers are exceptional, I could never do their job. They're very friendly, very accessible and always available to answer questions. Maintenance is very good as well and the laundry seems fine.

The new director has been great with communicating with the family and she just seems overall very nice. The caregivers always go above and beyond and maintenance was helpful with setting up the phone and the TV. She is a very picky eater and she is satisfied with the food, which is good.

Management is doing a fantastic job and the dining is very good too, my dad totally enjoys it. The dining staff all come around and say hello and acknowledge him and shake his hands, even the ones in the back come out. His room is always clean and the bed is always made and the healthcare staff is very good and keeps me up to date on everything, if there's an issue they always call.

Since my mom has been at the community, I think management does a good job. She does seem to think the food is okay and housekeeping is going well. They just replaced the carpets in the building.

The management staff is always very helpful and tries to solve any issues or concerns about my mother's care. They respond quickly if I have to leave a message. The dining room is one of the nicest I have ever been around. The food is the best quality, appearance and taste of anywhere she has been. The ladies that are in charge of activities are upbeat and extremely happy. They are trying hard to get the residents engaged. I would say they do a really good job. Anytime we have needed anything the maintenance department has been very prompt in responding.
