The Estate at Hyde Park

We chose it because of the location and it seemed to meet my mother’s needs. I had a need and the manager was able to set that up and have it ready for me in a short notice. The room seems to be nice and picked up when I come in to visit. The building seems to be well kept. One of the gals from nursing has called me several times to inform me things that they were doing. I definitely appreciate that. It gives me great satisfaction to have moved her from a very stressful situation to one that she has adapted to very well. That has been a very good move thus far.

My mom lived next door to it for many years, so we were familiar with it, and the location is convenient for us, so when she needed Memory Care she moved in. Carla, the marketing person, may be a marketing person, but wears many hats; I can’t believe everything she does. She knows everybody there, their backgrounds, always has a smile on her face, and always helps with activities. She communicates regularly with me. I love all the staff there, but she has gone light-years beyond what we expected. She obviously has a passion for what she does. My mom had a welcoming party, and on Veteran's Day they had a nice ceremony, it was nicely done and special. I've seen singing, dancing, watching movies, going through the newspaper. I remember the first full day mom was there, I went in and there were two care services staff members getting her set up for the morning. I could clearly see they were changing her diaper and changed her clothes. They didn’t know I was there, and they were being so cheerful, being very loving and gentle in that awkward situation. Maintenance super helpful, hanging pictures and so on, and set up furniture. I couldn’t get over until the evening and they had everything set up. Everyone has been so outgoing and friendly, and makes my mom comfortable. I like the all-inclusive pricing here, and the cost is comparable to what we had been paying for Assisted Living, so the value is pretty good. Our minds are so much more at ease, the staff ratio is great and we get updates. I would absolutely recommend it. If anybody has any doubts as to whether or not to put a relative or parent in, I can say that the amenities are fantastic and the staff is over the top.

We're satisfied with the services and accommodations that my mother is receiving at The Estate at Hyde Park. The food is good and we're satisfied with the menu variety, housekeeping seems good and maintenance was responsive when we needed something, they fixed her blinds which was pretty good. They have the community decorated really nicely for fall and I hope they do the same for Christmas with making it festive, but overall the price is the going rate and she is comfortable there.

I thought the value at The Estate at Hyde Park was good and all inclusive of everything offered. My mother had a full one bedroom with a courtyard view which I really liked, so it worked out very well. Management was attentive and got back to me when I had questions, my mom really liked the food and the wait service was good. Housekeeping was consistent and maintenance was incredible, they hung her pictures before she even got there. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and everybody was very nice.

My dad moved into this community becuase it was referred by his previous community. Management has been very helpful, nice and quick to respond. My dad likes the food a lot. The staff has been helpful and the service is very good. They have activities available everyday. We have seen the staff get him up and work with him which is very good. Housekeeping does a very good job. There is always a smell at memory care communities but this community does not have that smell. It has a very pleasant smell instead. The building is very nicely maintained. Last night my dad fell and had to go to the hospital. The caregivers were all very attentive when he came back to the community. We have been pleased with everything there.

I interviewed nine communities before choosing this one for my wife and there is no question that I made the right decision. All the staff members are attentive and they remember your name. I would say they do absolutely excellent with the activities and the care they provide. Whatever my wife needs they see that she gets it. They call me on time, tell me what they are going to do, when they are going to do it, and how they are doing it.

My Dad's been at The Estate at Hyde Park since about October of 2017. I’ve got no complaints, had no bad experiences. The managers call if dad falls or falls ill. We haven't seen anything to make us think the care is anything less than excellent. I feel like he feels safe and comfortable. The food's pretty good, the building looks just fine, and the activities seem to be appropriate. I go over there unannounced and anytime I stop in everything is clean, it doesn’t stink. He's clean, he's not wearing dirty clothes, nothing is soiled. We're pretty happy with it.

I moved my mother to this community over a year ago and to my knowledge and everything that I've seen, the care is very satisfactory. I have only been there for breakfast meals and their food I consider to be good, very good. They do try to balance it and they look out to make sure she has the appropriate medication at the time should. The different people and the different religions you have there, the activities appeal to all that are there and they have their choices. My mother is no exception, she knows what she likes to go to and she does participate in the activities. I'm pleased and everything in the building looks clean.

I think The Estate at Hyde Park is a very pleasant place. The care staff is very, very good. If my mom's room needs anything I go to Jordan and he is always responsive, very helpful and it's taken care of right away. Housekeeping does an absolutely wonderful job and I think the dining staff does good work. They make excellent meals. Management has smoothed the transition incredibly, getting personally involved. The value is very good. The cost is probably on the higher end for Tampa but you get what you pay for so I'm happy to pay for it.

I really like Janice at the front desk. She is the receptionist down there and she is so nice. She's helpful and attentive to what is going on, so I really appreciated that. She would eat there, the people were very nice and the activities were good. The housekepeing was fine and her room was maintained. She would ride when they went on outings and she enjoyed it. She was really happy there and I thought the care was really good.
