Evergreen Retirement Community

Every experience I've had with management has been phenomenal, they've been very personable and very helpful. It seems like they have a lot of activities and it all looks good. In terms of the maintenance, the guys have been great. We are happy with the value and my mom loves it. If mom's happy, I'm happy.

My husband and I feel comfortable at Evergreen Retirement Community, so I am satisfied with the services and accommodations that are provided to us. I think the management is very good, with being close to the best because there are almost 300 residents here and yet, they're usually accessible. The dining service staff during the dining experience does their very best and with the activities that my husband and I have been to and participated in, we thought they were good. In fact, we think that they offer much more than people at our age group can take because there are activities consistently offered. We're also satisfied with the consistency of housekeeping services that we have been receiving because the lady who does the cleaning here is very good and does her job in an exemplary manner. In terms of maintenance services, I think the maintenance staff is doing a good job and I am satisfied with both, apartment and building upkeep at the community. Overall, it has been a good experience thus far.

We have been here three years and the personnel we have dealt with have been very pleasant and accommodating. The Activities Director Jennifer is most pleasant and we have some excellent programs. We've used the transportation services for programs and that's been very good.

This community has everything that my mom could possibly need and then some. Management has always been respectful and my mom seems to like the food pretty well. The staff are very helpful. The housekeepers gather her bedding and remake her bed. They are doing the job they are hired for. They clean, wipe things down and take care of the garbage. They always seem to do a fine job. We called maintenance once and they were great. They put a door back on her bathroom cabinent. Everything in the building is always in order and smells fine. Everyone I have ever known who lived here has been very happy.

We have a new Executive Director and he seems to be very responsive to all of our needs, we're impressed with him so far. There is a lot of variety of activities and a lot of people coming in from the outside for entertainment. Housekeeping does a good job and maintenance is very helpful.

My mom seems pleased with the dining and the transportation guys have been great. Overall, it's a decent value. Things seem to be going pretty well.

I think the community is wonderful. I’ve been satisfied with the food and the wait staff here. Maintenance has been very quick if I ever have a problem and housekeeping is good. I am very happy with the value, it’s tremendous.

In regards to the dining, I think they have great options and even on the days that they are short staffed they make sure they give a couple of options or deliver meals to the rooms. For comparative facilities I think their food is wonderful. We even eat there at times and have enjoyed it as well. There are a couple of activities that my parents really like, such as when they bring in speakers about other countries or cities or about the war. There are a handful of things that are planned well. Everything seems to be clean and tidy. My mom and dad's interaction with the housekeeping has been pretty easy and really good. I think Dale the maintenance man in particular does an excellent job. He does a good job of keeping the facility nice and responding to needs that my mom and dad have in their individual unit. Mike who is the driver is excellent on working with them being flexible and helpful. The care givers are very friendly. The care givers check on my mom and dad. My dad takes medication and they are consistent on things.

You can always complain at how much a community costs, but after scouting around, I have noticed that the prices at Evergreen Retirement Community are in line with other communities in the area. I have been satisfied with the services we receive and I am quite pleased with management. We very seldom eat in the dining room and have our meals delivered, but the dining staff has been accommodating to us. I know the community is limited with the age of residents here with regards to the food, but I accept what I get and am happy to have it. We do not use laundry services, but the apartment cleaning and consistency of service has been satisfactory. The apartment maintenance has been good and if I call something in, someone from the maintenance department comes up to take care of it, so things have been good and the common area looks fine. Overall, it's been a good experience thus far and I certainly would recommend the community to others.

If I've ever had any issues management has resolved them. I've eaten there a couple of times and it's always been very good, my mom never complains about it. I know my mom likes the café there for lunch and the service is good. My mom goes to the grocery store every Tuesday or Thursday with the bus and that's really convenient for her. My mom says the driver is really good and helps everyone really well. I look at the cost and think oh my goodness but I do know it's one of the best places in town and for what my mom has and what she gets I would say it's a good value.
