Flagstone Senior Living

My mother-in-law is on her third year up there, it'll be three years in June. The food quality is great, and the menu looks good to me. The servers are always real friendly to us when we say hi. There’s activities going, a lot of hustle and bustle, things going on all the time. There's a small notebook by the front desk where they can sign up to use the bus. It's pretty easy to schedule. The bus is real nice, well heated or well air conditioned depending on the weather. Housekeeping is good, maintenance is excellent, and anytime we need anything or a question answered the managers are on top of it. They've saved our lives. The care givers are good, the nurses, aides, and med techs are trained, and if we call we get response and they're very friendly. They are amazing, they do a great job with her and we're pleased.

The community was close by, was recommended highly to us, we have some friends that are in here, so we decided to check here. They're really wonderful people here, management is very helpful. Everything I've seen in the dining has been wonderful. The healthcare staff is wonderful, they are very very good. They've been right here helping. Housekeeping does a good job, they keep it nice looking all the time, it's very good, we're very happy.

Overall, we are very pleased with my mom's care at Flagstone. In regards to the dining, I think it is really pretty good. The food quality is great. The variety is good. The wait staff is fabulous and very helpful and very attentive. She does puzzles, bingo, church service. The activities staff does a very good job. The housekeeping is doing very well. When I brought something to the attention of the guy who runs the housekeeping right then and there he contacted the person right away. I showed him what my concerns were. There is good attention to detail. The maintenance staff is very attentive. The care givers really care for her. There have been a few issues but I brought it to their attention and they were responsive.

My mom been there so many years they know her, love, and take care of her. She'll be 96 next month, so I think that's a good place for my mom. The caregivers are great. Whenever something comes up, Karen or Sandra from nursing will always give me a call. They’re very good and very conscientious about letting me know what's going on. I also think the managers are good. Any time we've had questions or concerns, they're right on it, they get right to it and take care of it. They know me when I walk in the door, and are always polite and greet me. The staff tries to keep the residents active and doing things. Several days mom wants to stay in bed, but they work on it and they know how to get her out of bed, down to the dining room, then into activities. I love maintenance, love those guys. Tom is just wonderful, if anything is the matter, I just ask him, and he tells me he'll be down in a little bit. He always takes care of things right away. He knows my mom, and as soon as he gets a chance he's there to take care of things. The building is very well taken care of. In some places you walk in and get hit by a smell, but at Flagstone when you walk in, it’s like walking in to any business or home, no smell. Everything is well taken care of outside, they usually have flowers out. Mom uses the transportation there. The driver knows everybody's name, and where they need to sit because of any disabilities. He knows everyone there who rides his bus regular, he takes care of them. The people there are all just wonderful. The community is 150 miles from me, and when it came time to move to Memory Care I thought about moving mom closer, but she told me she feels safe there, feels they take care of her, and that's all I needed to know.

I chose this community for my cousin because he has friends there that can visit with him more frequently than family so we wanted to try to keep him local. We were so pleased with the activities available. My cousin absolutely loves music and we are so pleased that he can be exposed to live music; that was awesome. The times I've been in the dining room, there was definitely a good menu variety. The location is fabulous, it's a wonderful campus. I truly do believe that there are people there that really care and want to do an excellent job; they've made me feel comfortable about my decisions.

My wife is being taken care of, given something to do with the activities there. The caregivers seem to take pretty good care of people. My wife's apartment looks good and clean when I'm over there. Housekeeping does a good job, I think. Flagstone seems to take pretty good care of people.

The value at this community is excellent and my mom's apartment is fine. I called this morning to see if management would check on my mom since she was not answering her phone. My mom called me right away after they checked on her and that was good. She has made some suggestions such as going on shorter trips. They have offered some trips that are only an hour long. They listened to her and followed through. Housekeeping cleans her room pretty often and she lets them do her laundry. When I was there yesterday I needed help moving something and maintenance was right there to help. The transportation as this community is good. It seems like they are pretty available as long as you let them know. My mom is able to see the nurse whenever she needs to.

The front desk was awesome. Every time I went in there they would greet me with a smile. The care staff was friendly and they were working hard. We had a few issues with mom's TV and maintenance would always come right up to fix it. The windows were spotless, the lawn was maintained beautifully, the flowers and the outside looked great. Whenever I'd sit in on the dinners everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and the servers would run around to get people stuff, they were fine and doing a good job.

I thought the management was good, we were very pleased with my mother-in-law's stay there. I couldn't go on more and more about the activities, she loved it. They took them on bus rides every chance they got, almost on a daily basis, and to those people, just getting them out in the fresh air is wonderful. I couldn't ask for better healthcare, they were so sweet with her.

My mom seems to like Flagstone very well. When you call the management to get something done they get right on it. The manager of Flagstone is really good. She has checked in with me two or three times to make sure we are happy and I think that is important. The activities are great. I like the fact that they have the bus trips, that will be really great. I really like the maintenance guy. He gets on stuff and he knows his stuff. He is a great guy. The appearance of the building is wonderful inside and out. I would very likely recommend Flagstone.
