Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

My mother is already there, in skilled nursing, so now that dad has moved in, they'll be close. I think the value is good, dad is safe and comfortable there. The managers are very organized and attentive. Maintenance put in a new toilet, put in brand-new carpet, and fixed his doorknob. He hasn't had much of a chance to get into all the activities, but he will. He has done the men's happy hour so far and we’re satisfied with the amount of activities. Housekeeping is good, they come in on Fridays, change his sheets, vacuum, it's all clean, I have no complaints. The dining is great, he's happy with all of it.

I think it is absolutely adequate and perfect.

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I chose this community because it is close to where my home was and is in the neighborhood that I know. I think the price is absolutely adequate and perfect. I am getting a service I need and I am getting the socialization I was looking for. Everything is working so far and the few times I have had to call management gets to it immediately. I think the food is outstanding. I am going to have to cut back so I don't start gaining weight. There is very good service in the dining room. Anita, the waitress who helps us, is really outstanding. So far the activities are good. I went up to the multipurpose room for an exercise class and it was a really good work out. So far housekeeping has only come once but it has been outstanding. They get the laundry back either the next day or the day after. The cleaning and maintenance is absolutely perfect. I had a water leak under the sink in the bathroom and they came immediately to fix that. Another time a door fell off its hinges and I mentioned that I didn't need that door on it and they took it off for me. Transportation takes me where I need to go and picks me up. They have been excellent.

Very homey and the food is delicious!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I chose this community because my daughter and I visited 4 or 5 places and the minute I walked in I just knew this is the place where I wanted to go. It's very homey, everyone is very nice, things have gone really well for me and the staff is really wonderful. The Forum called my name to come and so I did. It's comfortable here and you feel safe. The residents are all very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is good; they've done a good job. The food is delicious, it's very good, I really like it and the servers are very gracious, very helpful and they do very well. The cost covers a good number of things that you need in your home.

Staff was precious and helpful, she never felt alone!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

It was too far for me, but I would recommend it to anyone who lives close by. We liked her apartment because it was in the front and she had a front and back door with access to a little patio. It's a beautiful place with a beautiful pool. The food was wonderful and the wait staff was wonderful always. They always accommodated mom, if she didn’t like what was on the menu they got her something from the grilled menu, which was nice. The activities are consistently entertaining there, they’re well-planned. The management was very attentive to people that were getting up in age that need some kind of guidance and assurance. They would come and visit her. Denise and Paul, from management, were wonderful. They visited her and set her up with other residents so she could meet them. Mom was very safe at The Forum and that means a lot. The security staff was precious and helpful. She never felt alone. It's a bummer, we mulled over the decision for six months before moving her.

Very kind and interested in the residents!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I had to move my mother out of this community because she had a stroke and couldn't live independently any longer. At the Forum management knows all of the residents and respond quickly to needs. They're very kind and interested in the residents. The dining was very good and they had plenty of activities and outtings. I was fine with the price and thought it was a good value. It's pricier than some other places I'm sure but it's so nice.

I don't have to worry about my Mom!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

We chose The Forum for mom for three reasons. The high rating, the three levels of care, and the minimal turnover of staff. Christine, Karen and Shelly, three different people managing the different levels of care, they were awesome moving mom and helping us. They were amazing. We're very satisfied with management. Very easy to get a hold of. We've needed a couple of things and they're accommodating. It may not always be resolved as fast as we'd like, but they always get things fixed. Mom really loves the dining experience. She loves her friends; it motivates her to get out of her room. She's gotten into the routine of going there three times a day and she's eating, that's good. She loves it. Mom enjoys some of the activities, when they bring in jewelry or animals to the front room, or they have something in the dining room, she'll get involved. She says they come and try to get her and encourage her to join. The other day my sister saw a llama walk past the room, mom got curious and went out, it was the animals, and mom has talked about that for days. The nurses, aides, and Med Techs are very good. They're checking in on her, I don’t have to worry about her. We just had a care meeting, we just had a care meeting and we had some questions about things. I think the main thing is we don’t have to worry about her falling. If she falls we know they will call us. She's making friends and they are kind to her even if she is not nice. Mom and stubborn but they listen and don't give up on her. Housekeeping and maintenance are good. Mom says it's one of the nicest communities, it's clean, there's no bad smells, and it’s very clean and nice. Of course it's expensive, but we're willing to pay the price. Mom deserves to have the best and we are grateful she has an opportunity to have that. She is getting the best.

The activities and parties are a lot of fun!

I had been coming here for about a year to visit my friend for dinner, everybody is gentle and kind, you're spoken to by everybody very cordially. I met some of the other residents and thought I could make a home here. When you ask for anything from management, the response is immediate. The activities are lots of fun, the parties are wonderful, and the classes are interesting and fun. We have so much fun, Janie is a lovely lady, we just have fun talking while she's working and she does a very beautiful job cleaning. It's always clean, there are always people in the hall cleaning and working. When you consider all the services we're given, I have no complaints.

My mom loves the food choices!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

When I compare what Mom is getting with the activities and food included I think she is getting a really good deal here at The Forum. Mom loves all the food choices. It is more than enough food for her. Everyone here has been very friendly and makes me feel right at home when I come to visit. The maintenance team keeps it nice and tidy in the building. Everything is friendly at the front desk. The security guards are lovely. I feel very at home there.

Our maid is funny and does a great job!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I heard all good things about this community and it was pretty and that's the main thing that attracted me to this place. The food is very good and they keep the residents very well occupied with the activities. We've been very happy and very satisfied with my husband's care in this community. If I need someone I just go out in the hall and usually don't have to wait more than a minute and someone will come along. If that person can't take care of what is needed they'll go and tell someone else.
