The Forum at the Woodlands

I moved into this community because we found it online and it was convenient for my son. So far management is doing well, I haven't had any problems. Everybody has been helpful. Dining is good, I'm pleased with that. I like the portion controls for supper. I'm pleased with the meals and everything else, such as activities and maintenance.

The services provided are a good value for their independent living. They offer ala carte care services which my parents take advantage of. The management staff is very welcoming and accessible. We've had a few things to deal with but they've helped resolve everything. My parents have enjoyed the dining. They have said good things about the food and service. The activities are very well done. Maintenance has been very helpful. They have come quickly when needed. All is good.

I think the room and accommodations are outstanding. The attitude among all the employees is great; it is a friendly and sweet Christian environment. They are caring, sweet, and gentle. They are top notch. I haven't been here long enough to get involved in the activities yet, but once I get settled down I plan to. The food has been great and anytime I ask for any help in my room the maintenance men are there to help. I have been very happy here.

I feel like it is a very good value for what she's getting. Management was really good. Very responsive. They took time and showed us around. They always called me back right away if I had any questions. Even if I just showed up they made time for us. The food is good, and that's always a big deal. The servers are all very friendly and very attentive. The day of our move in the maintenance people went right away and got the locks switched out. They had to change a couple outlets and they took care of those pretty promptly. I think they've taken care of everything. I think they've done everything that she's asked them to do. I think they're very on top of everything. The transportation offering is nice. My mom is using the limo service to take her to and from her doctor appointments, so that has been really helpful. She's also gone on some of those shopping trips. She seems real happy with everything.

They're just great. Great service. The attitude, the service, the quality of service from Maintenance, she's happy with all of it. Everything looks excellent. From what I understand she's extremely satisfied. I don’t know of any complaints. This is the fourth place my mom has been in, and this is the happiest she's been yet.

There were several places I looked at in The Woodlands, and the deciding factors were the people I interacted with, especially Angenette, and the balcony. The ladies that escort my parents are very kind and always smiling. The wait staff know them by name. They are wonderful and very kind. My parents are very happy with the food. They have got a staff of nurses that are doing this for a reason - they want to be there. Rita is in contact with me. I had a long visit with Joelle the other day. They are just very kind.

I think the price was fair for the services she received. I think it's a good value. She was there eight and a half years, so we were pleased with the accommodations. The staff works really hard to accommodate the residents. The activities calendar seemed to have something for everyone. Maintenance was really responsive. Even if it was last minute, the transportation services did a good job for her.

While my mom lived there, she enjoyed it; she loved the Bingo, the neighbors, and the people who worked there. They were all very nice. The management is very nice there, like Rachel. We loved that she didn't have to cook in her kitchen. Maintenance was very helpful when they could. We had to call a few times when her toilet couldn't flush, and we found out that it was because the management had changed the levers to some cheap plastic thing that would break easily. They changed hers out to a metal one and she didn't have a problem again. I would guess that it's about comparable to this area. She loved everything before the fall. If she hadn't fallen, she would still be there.

For us, that was a lot of money, but my father-in-law thought it was a good value. I dealt with Jackie, in management, a lot. She is very personable and she follows up with phone calls. When my father-in-law first moved in there, she went out of her way to answer some questions for us, so she is very good. I also like the lady at the front desk, Rosie. He just commented on how good the food is and the choices. The maintenance staff has been fine and they are responsive. He has mentioned Robert, from transportation, more than once, so he really had a good relationship with him. All in all, it has been good.

It is right across from Regent Health Center, and that is where my mom was, so it was easy for my dad to go visit her. I think the overall cost is good because he is getting some meals and services that he was not getting before. So I think that the cost is reasonable. My dad says the food is great. It is probably just too much food for him, but that is a good problem to have. He hasn't had a chance to participate in many of the activities. On Thursday, he went to one and it was a pleasant experience for him. Maintenance hung some pictures for him and that was great. There have been no problems at all.
