Fountain View Village

Mom is just very happy. I don't think I ever talk to her that she doesn't say she feels very fortunate to be where she is. She has two rooms and two baths so we can come and stay. She feels very much like she has a home. The pieces she loved from home she was able to keep. For her, at her level, the activities are just great. The building is lovely. I am there frequently and will stay several nights. They are just so incredibly kind. Mom never has the feeling she is putting anyone out. They are all just very kind. All the staff that deals with mom, you can't say enough nice stuff about them.

My sister has been living there for a year and a half, and things seem to run fairly smoothly. She says the food itself is good, and I think they have a lot of activities going on. Whenever my sister has asked maintenance to do something they seem to be really good at getting in quickly and doing a good job. She is comfortable, she is safe, she is satisfied with her apartment, and we feel it’s a good value.

In the past year I have lived here I think the quality of the food is fine and there is a variety and good quantity of activities offered. I think the transportation opportunity was great.

My husband and I are safe and comfortable here. Maintenance is really good. They weren’t always, but they hired a new guy and he's fantastic. They're getting ready to move us to a new apartment and get this one painted and updated. The CNA's are really good; the people they hire here are really good. Housekeeping is really good. Fountain View has nice quality activities. They go to every room in this building to let you know when something is going on. The dining is good. Tonight we had lemon meringue pie, how about that? We're satisfied with the services we get, the managers try real hard, you bet they do.

When I decided I wanted to be around more people I went straight to Fountain View and never looked any other place because I knew it was terrific. Management is terrific, they are respectful to all of the residents, they hop to it if you ask them to do things, if they have the time and it's out of the ordinary they'll still do it and every one of them are great. They finally got a new chef, Brandon, and he's top notch and the kids are great and wonderful that serve us. The housekeeping girls are very nice and the maintenance guys are great.

In my 11 years here, everything’s been very good. I take advantage of their transportation services, and it's very good, as is the dining and food, and the management here. My favorite activity is the aerobics, the exercising down in the gym. They have a regular gym with all the equipment which is very good. Whenever I need anything fixed I put in an order and it is taken care of very promptly by maintenance. The housekeeping, I'm very satisfied with that, along with the price. Everything’s very good.

Betty Norman, the person that helps mom out with breakfast, is very caring, gives great service and is wonderful. Terry , from activities, is probably the best person in the entire place. If someone told me that Terry was taking over as general manager I would say that is a great move. Terry is always a bright, smiling, shining star, she's very caring about everyone and always has activities going on. Kevin, in maintenance is great and they need more people like Kevin. Her evening help, Lidia, she is very good and Lisa who is in charge of the care staff seems to be a very nice person.

I work with a number of different managers. The third floor manager in charge of all the caregivers communicates well, also the accounting manager. At this point I don’t have any problems, they seem like a caring group and treat my mom well. I've been there enough in the last 10 or 11 months she's been there and after some initial issues it changed over and now it's truly good. I was happy with the changes they made. Right now I'm in pretty good shape. The caregivers are excellent. The aides, the Med Techs, the nurses; they're very thorough. Any questions they have, they will call you ahead of time. They will check with the doctor or run it past me. They keep a good line of communication open. The Med Techs particularly are great. Lisa, the Caregiver Director, runs a pretty tight ship They've got a great couple of ladies that come in for activities that are really upbeat and positive, and get everybody involved. One of the best things is my mom's apartment is directly across the hall from the activity room. She hears the activities and gets up and goes to participate, that's been good. Housekeeping has gotten good as well. For my mom the price is fair, it's competitive for the area, good quality care, so I don’t feel gouged. We're satisfied.

Wer are just fine here. The dining experience is perfect. The food, I think, has been very good. My wife has enjoyed the high quality food and excellent service. I'm sure if we had any problems, we'd just contact the office, and the managers are very good and responsive. We have no complaints about housekeeping, the apartment is always clean. The community's condition is very good, inside carpets are nice and clean, all in good condition and, outside, the plants and grounds are all good. It seems kind of pricey, but when you think we don’t pay any utility bills, we're safe here and comfortable, the value seems fair. So far we've found it excellent.

We chose Fountain View Village 5 years ago and we have been satisfied with the services and accommodations provided to my mother. The greatest asset is the people there. I have never seen such caring and wonderful people which makes it worthwhile and I truly mean that because they're saints. Management has their head in the game, the driver is kind, the maintenance crew is responsive and I think the activities are really good for them in terms of accessibility and availability, so all in all it has been a positive experience.
