Fox Point

I chose this community for my mom because it was a very reasonable cost and I liked the way the facility is laid out. Management has been very understanding and trying to help us figure out how to best get my mom in there. The healthcare staff seems to really care about the residents and they try to figure out what the resident's needs are individually. The nursing staff has been great in helping us navigate through this whole process.

For the amount of care she gets, the value is there. Any concerns she has, the healthcare staff is on top of it. We haven't had any maintenance issues, everything always look great in the building. The place never smells. Other places I toured smelled, this place was never like that. They do a lot of exercises and try to keep the residents engaged as much as possible. It's been a great experience.

The courtyard they have is beautiful. She has a room where she can look out at the courtyard and she loves it. I think she is safe there. Mom is always in clean matching clothes. The care staff have been really good with her. They tell me what is going on with her at the moment. They are very thorough.

Management is very wonderful, I like them very much, they're very helpful. I like the food; I like the soup. I like everything about it; I enjoy it a lot. I like to go to bingo, I like to do exercises; I enjoy that a lot and music. Housekeeping is always very good and maintenance comes to fix everything wonderfully, they're very good.

The new management staff is working to make things better. They have been responsive to me when I've had issues that need to be addressed. They now have a new person in place doing activities and I think she is doing a good job. She is keeping them busy, active and involved. When I go in her room it is clean and neat. The in house care is doing a better job of keeping us informed or letting us know when they notice something.

Things seem to be running smoothly by the management staff. The food looks good and they have varied choices. They also have great activities. The healthcare staff always call me right away if something is not right and they're always very accessible for questions. My mother's clothes are always clean and her apartment always looks nice. Dan in maintenance does a good job. My mom's thermostat wasn't working a while back and maintenance came to fix it right away. I'm very happy to have my mom there.

Management is very responsive. Housekeeping comes in and does what they have to do and the laundry does ok. I think this place is as good as any other place.

I would recommend Fox Point, absolutely. I would say the dining is tops. The food is extremely good, they try, and if you don’t like the specials you have a whole page of options every day of the week. I have no complaints. The service is excellent. I've been here going on three years and I have just enjoyed the activities I do. I go to a couple of brain health sessions, I enjoy those. I don’t get into too much else, but I go down to happy hour. They take care of me and are so kind to me.My doctor wanted a blood pressure chart and they couldn’t chart me because I'm Independent, but now they have a system developed and every Thursday morning they take my blood pressure. Isn’t that wonderful? It was like an answer to a prayer. When I see people touring I tell them all the things I love about it even though no one has asked me to do it. I just feel I should give back for the benefits it's giving me every day of my life. You pay for what you get. I think it's fair, yes, for what they do. I have a beautiful apartment with two bedrooms, three meals a day, someone coming in to clean; I can use the amenities all day long, get coffee and sit by the fire when I want. It’s almost like being at home.

The gals over there in activities, Hilde and Marissa and Vye do a great job. They keep the folks active and engaged. The nursing staff is pretty good.

In the past three years my dad says the food is fine and the service from the staff is good. He is very happy with the activities. He likes the bingo a lot, and the sing-along stuff, and when they have entertainment come in. The care givers are very attentive and do a great job. There were some things like skin lesions and they are very responsive and got in there every day to clean and change the bandages. Dad is safe there and we’re very satisfied with the value he’s getting.
