Management keeps him engaged and ask him to help move a chair or to help with the garbage or to help with dinner ,which he loves. That is priceles,s and we are so pleased that they treat him the way he should be treated rather than just sitting him in a chair. They reach out to us if he needs anything. If we aren't there, every couple of weeks they keep us updated on his progress. They are very knowledgeable, and if they don't have an answer, they find someone who does. My brother tells me all the time that the food is fantastic, and he is eating foods that I have never seen him eat before. The staff treats the residents like family, which is heartwarming. He seems to be engaged in the activities, and I think they are doing well with them. The house is very nice and always clean, and the property is beautifully maintained. The caregivers are all wonderful, very personable, and good to him. They have conversations with him and will play chess with him. They are lovely to him. We definitely feel like the price is fair. I feel like he is really thriving here, and it is nice and comforting to know he is here. We couldn't be happier that we found this community. I hope that we are able to keep him here for as long as he needs because this is his home now.

I tell everybody about them. They really are amazing. The community has done so much for my mother and me. I think the value is very good for what I am getting. Everytime I go in there, it always smells amazing. The food always looks good when I see it, and my mom eats everything. They really do keep a good eye out for her comfort and make sure she is as comfortable as she can be. My mom's house leader, Alice, is the warmest and most compassionate woman ever. They do a great job keeping everyone entertained. The care staff are so good and kind. I cannot say enough good things about them. They get exceedingly high marks. They are all amazing.

Management is very hands on, they communicate with us. When we go to visit, they have him interacting there, it helps him feel like he's in a family home and less like a facility, so it's comforting to us. The aides are all very friendly, we're very fortunate to have found the community. He always seems very happy.

Alice and her staff goes above and beyond everyday. Every day they are mopping and cleaning the room and the people all have clean clothes on. The place is immaculate. It is swept clean, in the winter the sidewalks are cleaned. The nurses and aides are all good. They make him laugh if he feels bad. It is home.

Everything seems to run very smoothly there. The staff is very nice. They are very accommodating and very caring. It is always clean in there and everything is maintained. They run a very good ship.

The in house management are excellent. The house manager is very good, attentive and caring. She is on top of things. The staff cook the food here. It isn't brought in from outside the community and the staff is good. The girls do everything from cooking to cleaning to caring for the residents.

They're a team, Alice is a team player, the staff is always happy and helps everyone. The activiteis are age appropriate and Nancy is above and beyond. It's always clean and the healthcare staff is always checking on them and know where each resident is and their ability, care is wonderful. They're respectful, knowledgeable and loving, you couldn't ask for a better staff.

Alice is the lady that runs the house and she's very accessible and reaches out via text messages whenever she needs me. The aides that help my brother are all great. I've met all of the care staff and they're all friendly, kind and help my brother. I'm quite satisfied with the staff there. Everything in the building seems nice as well. My brother helps around the house, he helps with the cooking and cleaning. My brother needs to feel engaged and if they ask him to do something he'll do it. It's a nice place, good care and I find everyone to be quite reasonable.

In the four years my wife has lived at the community I think activities and maintenance is ok. I show my appreciation to the care staff.

The manager at Mahwah is amazing! All of the care staff are very good, I can't say anything bad about anybody. The value is fair. It's one of the less expensive places so it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that some of the other facilities have but I like that it's a small community.
