Fullerton Gardens

The activities are very good; they exercise and they play games and do arts and crafts. They are doing something everyday. My mom enjoys it there very much. They have beautiful gardens, bushes and trees. I would like to praise the people that work there. They work very hard and they are very kind and understanding. They are very helpful from the cleaning to the janitor up to food service to management.

I liked the garden first and foremost. There's good sized grounds for walking and going out, it caters to family visits and all that kind of stuff. Everything is always clean and there's always an activity going on, and everybody has been really nice. My grandmother's quality of life has greatly improved since moving in. I've been pretty vocal about her move and how great it's been compared to other places I've visited, this is definitely a great place for anybody who needs it and can afford it.

For everything that is being done, I would say it is good value. The management staff are very attentive and have been right on point. They have been absolutely wonderful. They have a good variety in the meals they serve the residents. They do a good job with the activities they offer. They are forever cleaning in the community. The maintenance more than sufficient. One time she needed something done with her wheelchair and they were right there on it. The care staff are great. They are smiling all the time and very attentive. The staff is adequate I believe and do everything to comply with what the requirements are. Most of them will meet me when I go and give me an update on how she is and if she has been eating her meals.

The past management I thought was strong but this current management is even better. I spoke with the new Director twice and I felt really good about him. There is a lady at the front desk who is really great and very helpful. I thought the activities were great when I visited and I liked that they have a schedule of activities for my mother. When I visited, I thought they did a very nice job with the building and the gardens. The caregivers are just phenomenal when I speak to them on the phone. Maggie is just phenomenal and the caregivers are very good about giving me updates. They are all helpful and great. We searched around and our minds haven't changed about this community. We think it is a great place.

We orginally had my mom in a memory care private home in Villa Park that did not work out. The agent that we work with helped me find a good place for my mom and recommended Fullerton Gardens. On our tour, the food looked well balanced, tasty and it smelled good. There seems to be something for everyone that wants to do it. I am very happy with the cleanliness of her apartment. Anything I have needed has been taken care of in regards to maintenance. I am quite happy with the healthcare.

We chose it because it was close by the home. It is clean and nice. The management are easy to talk to and always answer my questions. If I need any help they are there. The quality of the food and the variety are good. It is not like a hospital setting; it is like a home setting. They give them plates instead of trays. In regards to the laundry, the clothes always come back and they are never lost. The care givers are very prompt on giving the meds on time and such.

The care staff were very good, very caring. They knew their residents, what they liked and didn't like. They were always right there and very helpful. I couldn't say enough about the caregivers. The maintenance was very good. If something was broken they fixed it. The grounds were kept up very nice. If you needed something repaired they would help you. They were very accommodating. The housekeeping was very good. They cleaned the rooms and did the laundry. They always had something going on in activities. The people doing the activities were very good with the people. I was very pleased with the services my aunt received.

It just felt good when we walked around and visited, it looked good. Mom started to fit right in after the first couple of days. The care givers called me a few times just to handle issues. Once her medication was running low, then she got a cold and I had to get some new medication. They emailed her doctor and got a response from him so I was able to pick up wheat she needed. Every time I am there the bed is made, clean, her clothes are clean, and the room is clean. Ho9usekeeping is pretty good. Management and leadership is pretty good. They answer the phone every time I call them. The food is good, good variety. I've been really, really impressed with the activities. Every time I go she's doing something, whether it's eating or doing an activity. I am very happy. The value is pretty good. It seems expensive, but for what she's getting I am happy at the moment. I think everybody does a really good job. We're all human beings with good days and bad days, but I haven’t seen any bad days. Everyone seems positive and they really seem happy to be doing their jobs. They're doing a really good job.

One of the reasons we chose this community for my mom was the cleanliness. It was very nice and clean when we came and met with the awesome staff. They are great. They answered any questions that we had. They maintain the building well and are in fact repainting right now. The housekeeping is doing a good job in her apartment. They care staff have been great and even caught a medication error made by an outside Hospice company.

I think the price is very good. My mother has been there since July of last year and given the care and services she's getting, the value is good. The care givers are all very, very good. Very kind, caring, and they know everybody's name. They know my name, they know everybody's quirks. They are wonderful people. Her room is always clean, never smells bad, and never smells of cleanser. Housekeeping takes care of her personal laundry. It moves back and forth from the closet without any fanfare. They seem to have a lot of activities going on. They seem to find a way to involve people, and I really appreciate that. They have a variety every day, something for everyone who wants to be engaged. Every time I've been there when mom is having lunch, it looks good, smells good, and tastes good. Mom’s well fed. Some people need mashed food, some cut, some whole, and they coordinate it all well. The building well kept up, things don’t look worn or tired. I’m satisfied with mom’s apartment, and she feels safe and comfortable there.
