The Gardens of Bellaire

I chose this community for my mom because I liked the staff a lot and I got recommendations from friends that had parents staying there who confirmed what I was observing when I visited it. We needed to get news in her language and the gentleman from maintenance came immediately. The trash is done every day and her towels are laundered. She has enjoyed their events and they have outings, which is important for the residents to not feel like they're under lockdown. Management is responsive to questions, and they worked very well with me in needing to be 100% sure that this was the right place for her. I like the way the Memory Care is structured because it's a small community within the larger place, but with the way it's setup, it's condusive for them to interact with each other, which is important for that disease. Overall, the community is very clean and I am very pleased with the care because their people are top notch, responsive and kind.

For what they offer and what it all addresses, I think it is comparable for a person that is of that age and needs assistance. Management has been right there doing exactly what they said they would do to meet her needs and accommodate her. I got a chance to dine with her for a couple of the meals, and I like the variety of it. They are enjoyable and very good meals. The acitivites that they offer are very appropriate for the residents there. I did a family night with her, and that was remarkable. It was great. I have never seen a situation where something needed to be laundered and it wasn't. Before we went there, we looked at some other places, and I would highly recommend it. I just want to thank them. When you have a family member who is 93, we just want them to be happy. Right now, I am very pleased. I see her satisfied, and if she is happy, I am happy.

In terms of the caliber of the people who work at the Gardens, they have a mission to take good care of people. It's a very positive atmosphere. The staff is just outstanding. They're hiring the right kind of people. Some have been with the facility for ten years. It's a vocation for those that work there, and that's the main thing that drew us there. The dining service and variety of food is very good. She's participating in activitites for the first time in seven or eight years since she's been in a retirement community. I'm very happy with it, and we are glad we've made this change.

I thought the food was very good. I've seen the menus posted in the elevator, and they show they have two things to chose from for dinner. They do have a lot of activities for the people, and they seem to really try. The housekeeping looks fine, and everything looks very clean. I think they are doing a really good job in the care department. They seem to do a really nice job. Everyone is very approachable, which is nice. Management is friendly, and they answer my questions when I have them. So far, they have been extremely helpful.

I’d been to quite a few places, and their focus and attitudes here are very good. The care staff is excellent, they're really attentive. I think the transportation is great. They do a good job and offer a good variety of activities. My apartment is nice. Maintenance keeps the building up well and my apartment was cleaned very well. The Executive Director has always been accurate and true, and the team is very responsive. I am happy here.

I chose the community because of location and I have been very impressed thus far. You can tell management puts every effort to make it their goal of making sure the residents feel at home as soon as possible. The healthcare staff is respectful and responsive, so they're excellent. They provide activities and I find the dining to be pretty good. All in all, I feel like they have really met every expectation that I have had as far as stepping up to the plate.

The healthcare staff has been very helpful and kind to my mother. She feels safe, comfortable and the apartment is fine. Housekeeping and laundry has been great. Their maintenance man is a real good guy. She really likes the food and she is eating a lot. Overall, I think the value is good.

The management is going out of their way. There are enough activities for my dad. He has been more active there then anywhere else. The have outings and the two that he has gone on he was thrilled with. The care is excellent and not once have I smelled anything bad which is completely remarkable.

I feel very safe and comfortable leaving my husband in the hands of the staff here. They engage him by socializing and entertain him with a variety of activities. The community is inviting, well-maintained, and clean. The food provided is tasty and healthy. It is top quality and top notch.

Every single management person we've had to deal with has been very attentive, they know their stuff and anticipate our questions and concerns and things like that almost before we bring it up and they're always good about taking care of it.
