Gateway Villa and Gateway Gardens

In regards to the management, I think they communicated very well with me and tried to make sure that everything my mother needed was the priority and that the family was happy with what was going on. They kept the residents busier then I ever thought they would be able to. Everything seemed to be very well taken care of and kept up and clean. The care was excellent.

The reason we chose the community was that he was here before and left to go to a higher level of care facility. Once he improved and could function in assisted living again we came back because we liked it here before. The food has improved since the last stay and also the amount and type of activities are surprising. When I am there it appears he gets a lot of attention from the care staff, there are always people checking in on him.

After the floods, we went to Gateway and management was so nice in trying to figure out a way for my mom and dad to get. I think the value is really good compared to what I was paying for just mom in Cedar Park, versus what I pay here. I think they gave us a discount for dad being a veteran, so it's really good. The variety during the dining experience is very good and the food is always hot with quality. There is plenty of activities like Bingo, dominoes and music, so they have a variety of things. Housekeeping is wonderful, their trash is emptied out every other day and when they set their basket out every Thursday, it comes back that same afternoon all folded. Regarding their care services, it's pretty good because the healthcare staff is respectful, accessible and responsive. Overall, the Nurses, services, Director and just everybody is really good at Gateway Gardens and Gateway Villa.

My brother just moved out; he was there about three years. We never had any problems with management there, and for the four months he used the caregiver service and they were helpful when he needed it. The activities were adequate for him and we had no problems with the housekeeping or laundry. It's a nice looking community and it's well kept. It's just a nice, clean, well-run community.

The management team has been friendly and nice. They continue to be attentive even after the move in. The food from dining is really good. I know they have exercises, games and bingo available with activities. The overall facility is very clean. The public bathroom is always spotless. In terms of healthcare; my interactions with them have always been wonderful.

The managment staff are taking care of my mom and meeting her needs. I haven't had any problems at all. There is plenty for her to do in activities. She says the food is good most days. I notice every time I go in there her laundry is being done. Whenever she rings the call buzzer and the caregivers always come quick. I think in general they are doing great.

I thought the price was good for the value. It was fair and I believe he got what we paid for. My husband is a very picky eater. He was pleased with the food. The staff was friendly. The grounds and the building were kept up nicely. I already have recommended it because I was very pleased.

If I can afford to come back I would. I love Vi the nurse, she's great. Abrah, the director, she is so good and bubbly, always takes her time to say hi and is so pleasant. Matt in maintenance is excellent. He gets on things asap. Laundry was perfect. I think Deborah is really good.

It was referred to us for my mom by our physical therapist. It was awesome, it was welcoming. The management staff is very accommodating. It's just been a respite stay and she's booked for the next time too. The caretakers came in and they checked on her and made sure everything was okay. They made sure that she was comfortable, and they delivered her medications on time and all that. It's a brand new building and it's clean and safe. Everyone worked very hard.

We chose the community because Mom is a fall risk, in a wheelchair, and can’t get around the house in it. My husband and I are rebuilding to make it handicapped accessible, and during that time Gateway is close by. A lot of her friends have gone there and said wonderful things. Home physical therapists also recommended it. Since being there management has been excellent. The caregivers have been wonderful and very sweet. It's kept very clean and there are no odors. The residents are happier there, it's more like an apartment building. I think the age of a place is not always what someone needs to look at. Gateway has been here for a longer period of time, but the staff is so warm and loving, and the way things are organized...I think it's great. And like I've said, there are no odors, so people are right on top of things. That makes a real difference.
