Greatwood at Sugarland

The care and nursing staff are nice and respectful towards my parents. The maintenance department is prompt with work orders and the housekeeping keeps up with things well. Their room is always clean and smells nice. There is a good variety of activities offered on the calendar and the food in the dining room is good. There is a good variety of food offered on the menu. The price is also fair and I am comfortable with my parents living at the community.

The management staff seem to be very competent and concerned about the residents. They seem to do the job very well. They are hands on and very good at what they do. The food is good. The activities are great. The Activities manager is wonderful. She keeps things interesting and there is always something going on. Anytime we need anything done the maintenance staff are right here and on it. The building is in very good condition. The care staff are very nice, very competent and very good. I have no doubt that if we needed them that they would be right here.

Whenever I have had to talk to the management about something or get something resolved, they were right on it. I have never had any outstanding issues. They seem to have a good variety of food, and they work with the residents there in making their selections. Some of them have difficulties in reading the menu, so they help them out. The food and the dining seems to be very good. It always seems like they have something to do, and they base it upon the season. In October, they had something for the fall. They keep them busy. They have various people coming in, and they might have musical presentations and so forth. The housekeeping and the laundry has been working out very well. They always come in to clean and they have been very consistent with that. They do the laundry, and that has been going well also.

The three weeks my mother in law was here were very good, and the staff is lovely. There were a couple of caregivers that she fell in love with. They were beautiful towards her. They did such a wonderful job, and she got excellent care here. Management was always at our beck and call. My mother in law was 100 years old and needed a lot of care, but they jumped right in to make sure that happened. My mother in law said this was the best food ever. She said she knew it would be good, but didn't know it would be that flavorful. She needed assistance to order her food because she couldn’t see the menu, and she needed help cutting her food. The dining staff would help her order, cut it up, and bring it to her. The staff did a great job with the activities too. They had bingo, which she fell in love with. They would come and get her for it, and they tried to get her out as much as possible. Her room was always clean, and housekeeping did her laundry. The value was excellent and there was no doubt that she was safe and comfortable here. Her stay was lovely. If we had to do it again, we would make the same decision again.

There is plenty for my mother to do. They go out on the bus and people come in to sing. She loves all of the healthcare staff. They're very kind to her and do a good job. My mom feels like the dining experience is satisfactory, and she loves the food. She says the servers are friendly and help her with whatever she is asking about. Management have been helpful when I have asked for different things, and they have tried their best to make her stay both comfortable and pleasant. Overall, for the amenities and activities offered, I think the price is fair.

Everybody that works there is very kind, sweet and helpful, so whoever is hiring the people does a wonderful job. In terms of cost, it's pretty comparable to others we have looked into, and they're willing to do whatever you need. Management fixes things right away, and they're concerned. All of you have to do is tell maintenance what you want done, and it gets done. Housekeeping is very good and she receives back what is taken with laundry. The food is good, there is a good variety, and the little workers work their butts off. All in all, she feels very safe at the community. We're glad she is there.

Management always seems to responsd if I have a question or concern and the caregivers do a very good job. The menus are very good, housekeeping seems to do a very good job, the grounds look good and the building is well kept up. For what my mom gets the price is good. She gets three square meals a day, someone looking after her and a nice room.

Garrett is terrific and very responsive to everything we want. He is very cheery. The activities were well attended and it looked like they were having some fun. The care givers are very caring. They are doing a very good job.

I love her apartment, she has lots of room, I think it's great. My mom has been very happy with housekeeping. She says they do a good job, are quick, and efficient. It seems to be pretty nice activities. Mom is getting involved and she enjoys it. She likes the music. I’ve eaten with her a few times and it's pretty darn good. The managers were very good, very helpful through the process and answered all of our questions. I have been very happy with the place and mom has been happy, so it's all good.

My mom did not want to move out of this community because she loved this place but she needed more care than they were able to provide. Their prices are right in line with other places prices and the activities were very good. The housekeepers did a lot of things that they didn't have to do.Maintenance always keeps the building up very nice. The man who does the transportation goes out of his way for the residents and the caregivers did more than enough for my mom. They did what they said they were going to do and more. They were very good to her. The people that work here are wonderful and make sure the residents know they love them.
