Great and special staff team!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

I think they are special people to be able to deal with old people like that. When she participates they look to me like they are really good activities. It is just getting her to participate. She forgets about having a good time. She really likes to color and paint. Her trouble is she forgets about having a good time and sits in her room. They are good about encouraging her to attend. She has trouble with her TV and every time it is because she has pushed the input button on the remote and gotten it off. They are good about going and fixing that when we call them. The common areas are real nice. The care staff are very respectful, attentive and patient. They have a lot more patience than I do.

Clean and roomy community.

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

The community was just a better fit for my mom, it was very reasonable compared to some of the places we checked where you got less, the room is very nice. Everything we ask management, they have no problem and the dining is very good and prompt. The community is always clean and the helathcare staff is very helpful and caring, better than the place we were in before, they seem to actually care about the people there. The staff really cares about the people there and try to help them, it's a nice clean place and it's roomy.

Friendly staff from the director down.

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

They are all very friendly from the director down. They are all there for the residents. The chef on the first day we were there came to meet Henry. He found out he is vegetarian and has been preparing his meals separate from the others. We like the activities in particularly the musical ones. Housekeeping does very well. The maintenance staff was very prompt and professional in handling our requests. The care staff is fantastic. They take care of his needs very well.

A very safe community

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

We had a very short time and we toured it and we really liked what we saw. Jeannette, who is the manager, we really liked as well. In regards to the management, they have been very forthcoming and very helpful quickly. They have been very responsive. My dad said that the food is pretty good. The activities seem to be good. Everything is always clean and the laundry is perfect. The mainatenance staff are quick and thorough. The care givers are perfect, the med techs, all of them. I have only been there when they have given my dad his medication and they are very friendly and very patient. They are always on time. My dad hasn't complained to me about anything. He is always very well groomed. I assume they are doing a great job. In general, I am grateful that it was ready quickly and it is a good fit for him. I have to say that it is good. I think it is in line for what they do. I feel like it is safe and he feels safe.

Beautiful community!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

I think the price we pay here is fair for mom. They give her the medication she needs and help to feed her. The management has been good since the changeover and I really like Catherine. I am pleased with the services that she receives from dining, activities, transportation and care. The building is beautiful on the outside and the inside has improved over the last eight months.

It's been an incredible experience!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

We looked at several different places and by far we thought Inwood Crossing Harvest Home was the best fit for mom. We focused on the interaction between the residents and the staff and that was a big selling point for us because we felt like the staff had a genuine concern for the residents. When we walked into some of the other places we just saw residents sitting there, almost just parked in their wheelchairs. Our experience has been incredible, all of our interactions have been positive, everybody has been supportive and we get feedback from the staff. The dining is way better than we expected, my mom loves the food. I've seen the food that's served, the variety is good and the comfort is good. I try to go every day and there's almost always activities going on, they do singing, they get together and just talk, most of the residents participate in that. The physical maintenance of the facility seems to be done really well and it doesn't smell when you go in there and it did in some other places we went to. The med techs have been incredible; they've just been right on it and very quickly got everything started. They just said they would take care of things and they did, it's been incredible, we've been really, really impressed.

They've been such a blessing to us!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

Mom was in another community in the same town and had been there for 3 years, and they raised the rent and gave s less service. That forced us out and being at Harvest Home has just been a real big blessing for the past year. I would say Belinda is a very good general manager, she's working really hard. The caregivers are good. Patti in particular and Tammy, both are very caring and they do think outside their job description when it's necessary but they never shirk their job. If mom needs an aide thing they're Med Techs and will stop and give her assistance. They are alert to her needs and health; I think they're knowledgeable about each resident. They got a new chef and he gave a Thanksgiving dinner and I think he did a really good job. The activities are growing, and she's working really hard. Terri, the Activities Director, is really trying. It's an old building and maintenance is doing great keeping it up. Apartment cleaning and laundry are good, the housekeepers really care and they do a good job. Mom got an apartment with French doors and her it's perfect for her. I know she is safe and comfortable there.

It felt right from the first visit!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

When I needed a place for my husband, I contacted A Place for Mom and they gave me a list of communities within driving distance of my home, and in my price range. I looked at 5 or 6. Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing was the third I saw and I kept coming back. The small price, there's no smells, and it just felt right. I am very pleased with the caregivers. My husband doesn’t need a lot of care. He's still mobile and doesn’t need assistance showering, but if he needed them, they'd be there for sure. Housekeeping and laundry have been excellent, and the community is very clean, absolutely no issues with it. We've had no uses we've needed to bring to management. My husband says the food is okay, and the activities calendar looks good. I think the value is quite fair, and I'm overall pretty satisfied.

Well kept community!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

My loved one is satisfied with his one bedroom apartment. He likes the food from dining. They have recently added the fruits and vegetables back. They have a wide variety of activities offered here. He is satisfied with the housekeeping and laundry service and the building is in the best shape I have ever seen it.

Hard working care staff!

Review for Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing

If I felt like I could do better I would take him somewhere else. I do feel like he is getting good care there. As long as Dad is eating and the food is palatable to him I’m good with the dining. The calendar of activities comes out in the bill to me and I look at it with interest. There seems to be a good variety of things to chose from. I think housekeeping does an outstanding job. When I go in there everything looks spic and span. The staff in the care department work so very hard and I think they do a wonderful job.
