The Haven and the Laurels in Stone Oak

It is homey and comfortable. My aunt likes her apartment and feels very comfortable and safe there. It is a good value The managers are wonderful. They're very attentive to her need and if she needs something they are right there for her. I have eaten there a few times with her and the food is always good. She is very engaged in the activities, she's participating in everything. She uses the transportation to go on trips and she used it for one appointment, the driver was so nice she wanted to tip him. So far I have been very pleased, everybody has been so sweet.

At the Haven everyone looked genuinely happy to be there. I just had a good gut feeling about it. From what we saw when we were visiting other places, I think the price is fair. The management has been really good with working with us and I know that there are people I can to go if there are problems and they will handle it. The caregivers are all kind to her and go above and beyond. She has a little dog and everyone loves the dog. The staff offers to take her out at night which they don't have to do. That is awesome.

It just seemed like a good fit for my dad, not too fancy or non fancy, it was right in the middle. I liked the atmosphere and all of the people we came in contact with, they were all super helpful. I haven't had any issues with care, I haven't had any bad feelings or seen anything that would make me think otherwise.

Mom just needs more attention, so after almost five years she is moving out. Her apartment is very good. No complaints about the care. Bella, one of the care staff, has been very good. Mom has her meds give to her three times a day and the Med Techs are all very good. The dining room is always clean and beautiful, the service is wonderful, and no complaints on the food from mother. I think the activities are wonderful. They are very attentive and very active; they provide a lot of different things to do. Gail, who heads up activities, is excellent. The managers are very good, dependable, and trustworthy. I have no complaints, really. It's been a good experience for mother. It’s a nice place. It's very welcoming, and our family is impressed with it. Compared to other communities the price is in range, and for the service they provide the value is excellent. I would recommend it without any reservations.

When we were looking for a place for Dad we took the tour here and were impressed. We feel like it is a good value. We are paying less than we did at his previous facility and getting more service. Management has been informative and helpful. I like the fact that they give them an option of two entrees in dining because at his last place they didn't have that. That is a nice attribute. It is nice to have that option. They do a good job in housekeeping and the community is maintained very well. The care staff is very good. All the ladies we have spoken with as well as the head nurse are all very good.

Regarding management, I think they kept in contact with us when needed, there was pretty good communication. The transportation services were great. In terms of care, I think it was good, all he had was medication management and I think it was fine. Overall we were very happy with the Laurels.

My loved one is very safe and comfortable. She is always cheerful and clean. I am happy with that. I have seen a calendar of the activities and they look great. Her clothes and room are always clean. The building is very nice and the caregivers are very pleasant and responsive. I am at peace in my soul when she is there.

I chose this community for my dad because the cost was less expensive than most other places and because of the community set up that you have. Based on the calendar, the activities seem to be interactive as much as the residents can interact. My dad is also a musician so we moved his piano there and he's able to play the piano which is a big deal to him. The building seems like it's in really good shape. Everyone was very responsive and very helpful when we moved my dad in. It's a good value because there is a nurse on staff 24 hours, the level of care is what he needs and there are therapies available if he needs them.

Friends of my dad had their mom there, they gave us a good recommendation, and it was also close to us, so we moved dad in. We ate on our visit and thought it was great. I think the wait staff are sweet and made us feel comfortable. I love that there’s activities offered, it’s a good variety. Housekeeping is okay and maintenance has been fine. Management has been extremely wonderful through this process. I think it is a good value for all that is taken care of for dad. Overall we're very pleased and very happy.

Everything was real fine during my husband's time at the community.The management staff were always there for me and very helpful and very nice. We were very pleased about the dining. The maintenance was always taken care of. The building was very good and there were no odors. My husband used the transportation and it was great. I was very satified with the care.
