The Haven and the Laurels in Stone Oak

I was looking for the best ratings and I also checked Aplaceformom.com, so they gave me the referral for The Haven and the Laurels in Stone Oak. Charl Hardy who did the paperwork, was really helpful and I felt comfortable with going there and leaving my mom there. So far, she loves the dining, the grounds are very nice and maintenance was helpful with fixing a leak in her shower. While there is always room for improvement, it's going pretty well right now.

My dad is being well taken care of by the caregivers. I've been pleased. The management has been very good all the way from day one. I like all the activities available to them. I was very impressed with the fish, turtles, and birds. The housekeeping and laundry have been excellent. He was in a couple of other communities, and this is much better. The price and the quality of the care for the price has been good as well. Everything has been good, no complaints.

I moved the resident in becuase they have 24 hour nursing care, and that is such a good thing. The Administrative staff is outstanding. The wait staff is wonderful and the food is great. Before moving in, we got a goodie bag, an Activities calendar, and a file folder. It's an outstanding welcome packet. The Maintenance staff is timely and good, they really are key in everything. The caregivers are good. They're timely, friendly, and good. I have no complaints at the moment.

The service in the dining room was excellent and my wife was very happy with that. She was very happy with activities and attended Bingo as well as talks and so forth. The housekeeping was very good. I was there many times and I'd say it was very well done. Maintenance was very helpful. She used transportation for a while and then I started taking her myself, but the people were very polite. I'd say you get what you pay for there.

I've told people how impressed I am so far. The housekeeping staff has been very responsive; the apartment was cleaned immediately before she moved in and stocked with things. I think there is a lot of diversity to what's offered. I think the way they introduce new people is really good. There is enough scheduled to do and there is enough free time. My mother really likes that she has the opportunity to make choices for food. The service in the dining room is just excellent; the servers are just awesome people.

I did look at four places. I just liked the atmosphere, the fact it was a smaller property and the staff. The marketing person was awesome. I got a really good feeling. So far, the caretakers have been good. The management staff has been very responsive. It's great; I think it's a really pretty facility. We're really happy with it. We think he's in a safe place with people that care about him so it's nice. All the other residents seem very happy there; they come up to you and tell you.

I chose this community for my mother because it was the nicest place. The administrative staff is very nice and very responsive to anything that I ask about. The food looks very appetizing. The staff is very attentive. My mother is always involved in the activities which are wonderful because she was not doing that before. I have seen the calendar and they have a lot of good activities. The caretakers seem to be very caring and attentive. I am very pleased with what I am seeing. I definitely would and I already have recommended it.

It's like a hotel and the service is very good. The management have excellent service, it's the best. The people there are very polite. In general, the food is good. The people that work in dining are very friendly and respectful. My wife tries to do all the activities and get out once a week. Housekeeping is very good. They're very clean people. Juan the driver is very polite and he'd take us to see the Doctor. Transportation is always on time and very helpful. From the nurse assistants to the rest of the healthcare staff, they're all very nice and friendly.

I would recommend it, we did quite a bit of research. The caregivers are good. I think they have a lot of good activities. They have a schedule going and I think they do a nice job. Housekeeping has been good and the dining service is wonderful. We have been satisfied with the value for everything.

My dad loves the food, he's hooked. Mom and dad love it. Carol Hardy, the sales rep, helped make everything fine. The management staff does everything to make it convenient financially, time wise and everything. Housekeeping is good. Every week they have a church service which is perfect. Everything has been just fine for my parents.
