Island Shores Retirement Community

Management has been so wonderful. They are always so friendly and welcoming. They know my name and their doors are always open. Right now, with the Coronavirus, we are getting email updates a lot that state that there are no cases of the virus there and they state what they are doing to be careful. My parents have been happy and are enjoying all this attention. They get their temperatures taken a few times a day and are getting a snack two times a day. They love that. The food is amazing and they love the activities. My dad loves the golf they have, they love the brain health and the sit and fit and my mom loves the coloring and tai chi. They are Catholic so she loves the rosary and the communion they have as well. They also love all the musical things that come in. The housekeeping is wonderful and is a treat for my mom. It is really nice that they change their bed because that is hard for mom to do. When we visit their apartment is nice and clean. The building is always clean as a whistle and decorated so nicely. I think this is a fabulous place and my parents are so happy here.

Through this pandemic the management seems to be doing a good job and during this time they are still trying hard to provide nice activities. My sister has had the same housekeeper and she is really good and the maintenance man is great. In regards to the healthcare services, Danielle and Hannah have occasionally called me to let me know how my sister is doing because she can't talk. That is very nice of them. There are some outstanding care givers there and they are real knowledgeable and compassionate as well. The majority of the staff is wonderful.

The activities department is good at keeping the residents involved. They keep in mind their abilities which I think is really important. The dining does a good job. My mother likes the food and the service does very well in the dining room. The management responsive, polite and take care of the residents. The price is in tune for the services my mother receives at the community. The maintenance department is very responsive when my mother has an issue in her apartment. They never make her wait. The housekeepers do a good job keeping my mother's apartment clean and they are very friendly.

Management is always attentive when we have questions or needs. Housekeeping is very prompt and my father in law loves the lady who helps clean his room. They are always doing their best to keep the community looking nice. The care here is wonderful and is the reason why he is able to live independently. I think this community does a wonderful job.

I chose the community because I had heard some good things about the community from friends. The apartment is clean and I am satisfied with the laundry services. I have participated in their bingo and bridge activities, which were enjoyable. The service during the dining experience is very good. Overall, I am satisfied with the price, services and accommodations I receive. I feel safe and comfortable at the community.

The staff here is very efficient and very nice. The manager is always out with the people, and I like her a lot. If there's something wrong in my apartment, I call the maintenance and they're here within an hour to fix it!

I am very satisfied with the value of the community and I think they're better than other places. They're very good at changing decorations with the seasons and it makes people feel more at home. My dad has just the most amazing person that does the housekeeping services. He has been participating in more activities and enjoying them. He likes the dining and all of the people that work in the dining area very much. If he has concerns, they're always addressed by management, so they listen and pay attention. Overall, compared to other places, for just the overall appearance, services and cleanliness, the cost is definitely worth it.

I have no complaints about what they do. I am very happy with my apartment. I would not change it for anything. Housekeeping does a real good job with me. They launder my bed clothes and they do a good job with that. They come every two weeks as scheduled. Maintenance is always here on the spot whenever I have a problem. My problems are minimal but they solve them right away.

The care staff was compassionate and tried to do everything they could. The maintenance team was really good and really nice to my mom. The management team when out of their way to assist whenever we had any type of concern.

Everyone is pretty much there or available when my dad needs something. There have never been any problems with maintenance. They seem to be quite responsive. There are lots of activities. Everything that I have encountered with management has been quite good.
