Island Shores Retirement Community

If anyone would ask me, I would say it would be a good place to come. I love the food, and the people are very friendly. I like things clean and in their place. They are here, and I don't ever see a mess anywhere. They offer a lot of activities. The dining selections are very good. They are very good with fish and chicken. I am very happy here. I like the things that the management does and the things that happen around here.

Management is great. The activities director, Cathy is great. The food is usually good. Maintenance is really good. They take care of things right away. I am really happy here.

The management does a phenomonal job. My mom likes the food. In regards to the activities, they tend to engage a lot of the people. Sometimes my mom forgets about stuff, and they actually give her a call, which is really nice. She can go down to bingo and participate in certain things. Maintenance seems to take really good care of the property and are responsive to any problems in the apartment. The care givers are awesome. They are very attentive, and they will raise up issues quite often. They keep me well informed, which is appreciated. It is worth every penny for our peace of mind. She couldn't be in a better place.

The community has really nice people to work with. Normally, when we press our button, the care staff comes right away. If something is wrong, we put a note in the office, and it's fixed that night or the very next day. The housekeeping service comes in once a week. They do a great job. The activities are great. The management team is good.

Management is doing an excellent. There are always activities to do if you choose to do it. The maintenance is adequate. There are always menu choices, and the dining service is very good.

The menu variety and service in the dining department is good. I think Lisa, the manager, is very good. I think the price is worth it.

From the building, to safety, to a blind that is not working right, from maintenance, to heat and cooling, to food, this is absolutely wonderful. I am so blessed to be here. I have been here two and half years. I get the best care, the best food, my clothes washed, and floors cleaned. If I have a question I can get help. I couldn't have picked a better spot. It's the best. It truly is.

The value of the community is great. My mother has help available if it's needed, and the maintenance staff do their best to get to each request as soon as possible. There is a nice variety of activities offered. She is very content with what is available to the residents. The housekeeping services do a good job. We have been very happy and satisfied with the management. All in all, she feels safe and comfortable. We have recommended it and she has too.

My interactions with management have been very upfront and personable. If we ever have a situation and we need them, they're quick to respond. The activity variety offered to the residents is very good. The housekeeping services are fantastic. They know what my mom wants. Overall, she feels safe and comfortable, and her apartment is more than adequate. It's outstanding.

The staff does their best to meet mom's needs and my needs to work for the best of my mother. I know them all very well. We have discussions a lot, and they are all fabulous. I am very proud of Lisa, the head manager. Last time we did this, there was an issue that I had addressed. She not only came to me to get my feedback, but she took care of the problem. To me, that is awesome that I was actually heard. In regards to dining, they do a fabulous job of making sure that it is accessible food for what is necessary. I like the fact that they have multiple options for every meal. Jamie, the housekeeper, has been fabulous. She has been there ever since Mom has been there. My mom's laundry gets done and put away. They do an awesome job with it. All I have to do is put a work order in when something needs to be done. Kevin and Rick are there to fix it within a week. I am very happy with them. They do a good job of keeping the building up. Kathy and Renee and all the care givers are absolutely fabulous. I can walk through the building on the way to mom's apartment, and they all know me. By the time I get to Mom's apartment, I have a pretty good jist on how mom is doing and if there is anything going on and if we need to be dealing with anything. We have very good communication, and they take care of mom wonderfully. They do an awesome job, and when they are short, I see the top RN pitching in on the floor.
