Island Shores Retirement Community

I was impressed with management and my uncle enjoyed the activities he did. He was very satisfied with the food; he says the food was very good. I ate a couple of meals there and thought it was good. All in all, I think the value was acceptable.

We chose Island Shores because it's in close proximity to my sister, and I live far away, but she wanted to live close by so it was convenient for mom to move in. my mom's been very needy and the management has been bending over backwards to accommodate her, and trying to understand her short-term memory issues. I saw the daily activities board and they had 9 activities going on, mom has plenty to choose from. Whenever there is a maintenance issue I just go down and call Barry or Kevin and they come right away. The housekeeper is really nice and she does a really good job and housekeeping launders the bedding and towels every Thursday. Mom is safe and comfortable there, and we're overall happy with what she's getting.

I have no problems at Island Shores. The staff looks out for us, management is responsive, the food is outstanding and the service is marvelous. They seem to have a wide variety for the residents to do and I have no complaints about the activities that I have participated in, they're well planned and offered consistently. The housekeeping is very good, they do my linens and it's done better than I would do them. The maintenance department make it look like you'd take care of your own home as far as decorations in the entry way and the general upkeep is very nice.

Management is very good and the housekeeping is pretty good. It has been very good and the building is maintained well. The caregivers are very good and we haven't had any issues with that.

I chose Island Shores Retirement Community back in January of 2018 and I'd have to say it's good because I am satisfied with the services provided to me. I have a lovely apartment, management is very helpful and very caring, the dining is very good and I am satisfied with the variety of menu options. The activities are great, housekeeping is very good and maintenance is very helpful, they take care of anything that I need so it's been a positive experience for me here at the community.

Island Shores is surprisingly cheap for how nice of a place it is. My dad has a nice little studio apartment with a good view. My dad really likes the food, he's been yumming it up since he's been there. All of the activities look pretty nice as well. I saw no issues with the building at all; it feels like a clean building.

I live at Island Shores with my husband and we think the price is fine. We're satisfied with the services and accommodations provided, so I'd also say we're safe and comfortable at the community. The management is fine and things are pretty good as they are, they're accessible, responsive and respectful. The food is good and there is plenty of it, activities are consistently offered and the housekeeping is very good. Maintenance inside and out is looking very good and the healthcare staff is knowledgeable and responsive, so I'd highly recommend the community to anyone.

I've lived her for five, almost six years. In that time, I think that dining and housekeeping are very good. The building looks good, the activities are good enough for me. The caregivers are good and I don’t have a problem asking for something. It's pretty calm and quiet and not too much going on, I don’t feel threatened at all living here.

I feel that it is a fair price for what I get. The management is responsive and come right away. I feel very comfotable. The food is wonderful and everything is delicious. The housekeeping is very good. They always come when they tell me they are going to come. The care is very good. I am very happy. They are very responsive. I would recommend it to anybody.

My mom loves the staff and the food. She loves the housekeeping service and the fact that she doesn't have to do it. The girl at the desk is very friendly and knoweldgeable, she knows everybody's names. I'd definitely recommend it. It seems like there's a great bunch of people there as far as staff.
