Lake Wylie Assisted Living

My overall feeling is that management has been good and I think everything has been adequate so far with care as well. She would certainly tell me if something was bothering her and she hasn't. My mother has been happy with the food service and I believe they have enough variety. She hasn't complained about a lack of variety to me. I also think the dining service is good.

I have no issues and have had very good correspondence with them. They come and clean the apartment every Monday. Any reequest I've had for my Dad the maintenance staff have responded almost immediately. They keep the grounds up very well.

This community is well managed and you have good people here. I am very happy with the management and the staff. The housekeeping is excellent and maintenance is spot on. They take care of things and the place is clean. The building is in good condition. They make it very cozy and accommodating. It has a nice appearance when you walk in. The care here is very good. Communication is so critical to us and they are very good at communicating. We can finally go away and enjoy our time because we know she is being well cared for. I think the value here is pretty good. She has been really happy with everything and I have never heard a complaint from her about anything here.

The care staff is wonderful. Anything that has ever gone wrong has been taken care of immediately by maintenance. They get right on top of everything. They're doing a great job with activities. There's always something available. I think the dining hall is great. The servers are fabulous. Every time I've eaten with my mother in law, it's been great. I think the mangement team is doing a fabulous job. I think they're terrific. For what she's paying here, it's well worth the money. It's a good value for what she receives.

Whatever they're doing to keep that mindset of being respectful and kind and proactive to try to welcome their residents is their gem. They do that so well. Whatever management is saying to their employees in those morning meetings to keep them on that track is just great. The care is excellent. The staff there treat people with respect and kindness, and they try hard to get everything done that they can. They've been very happy to transport my mom to her doctor's appointments or things off site. I never see lightbulbs out. I always see that the hallways and common areas are well cleaned. They clean the carpets pretty regularly. They try really hard to keep activities going for the residents. They try to do things for everybody. They've got a pretty wide variety of things going on. For the cost of staying there, I think it's very good food. In my experience, management goes over and above. They also try very desperately to keep the mechanics going. They have a good formula. I'm very pleased. I have a high level of respect for the way people are treated there.

I like my father's apartment, and management has been very helpful. The healthcare staff is respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive. The maintenance staff is very good. They do things immediately. They have quite a few activities for the residents to participate in, and they work hard to keep the residents busy. He loves when the people come with their music. With dining, he likes it all and says the chef is fantastic. Overall, he feel safe, comfortable and he is happy there, so I have already recommended it to others.

Management answered questions, were available, and seemed concerned about her. The healthcare staff was always very respectful to her and caring. All of the shifts and the med tech were wonderful. I cannot tell you enough about the care there, it was just excellent. I think the value was good for the care she got for the 24 hour care, the med tech, nurse and doctor that was there. She loved the dining, she liked the choices, the way it was prepared. She liked the atmosphere in the dining room and that she could get something in her room if she wanted to. The laundry and maintenance were wonderful, I was very impressed with the facility inside and outside. She especially liked to be wheeled out on the front porch, she loved that front porch. The facility was always very impressive and welcoming. I was very pleased with it, I cannot say enough good things about it. They have their dignity and freedom there, mom enjoyed that company could come and visit. She really felt like it was a home for her.

I love the management. They have been super fantastic. I have never had a parent where I was responsible for their care so it was a very challenging and difficult situation. Joy, in particular, was super fantastic and helped me know what I needed to do. She took a tremendous amount of pressure off of me. She has been a blessing to me and I thank God for leading me here. Joy's support has been tremendous. I don't know how I would have made it through without her. I love Sue, the nurse and I think she is super. The caregivers have been wonderful to my mom and have worked hard on helping get her acclamated. They keep a good eye on her and if they notice something they will contact us. My mother speaks highly of the cooking here and has been happy with the activities. She isn't really a participator but she has joined in on them. I was surprised by that. The housekeepers are fantastic. Her room is always clean, her laundry is always done and they never lose anything. Maintenance has been very helpful and got her TV mounted for her. The building always looks very nice and her apartment is really nice and she likes it. I love this place. They have taken real good care of her and I have had a great peace of mind. I wouldn't want my mom anywhere else.

Joyce has been very helpful. Cindy and Sissy have also been great. The girls in the dining area are all great and wonderful. They are so kind and patient with everyone. They have a large number of activities planned. The building is always well kept. The care givers are great with her. My mom can be a handful but they are all so kind and very pleasant.

The dining is great, Shawn is great. They've had a couple of family events in the dining room and they've been fantastic. My mom really likes the bingo and the church services on Sundays. All of the staff are just so friendly, they seem like they're here for a good reason and not just for a job.
