Lakeshore Manor

Everything seems to be running smoothly. I think the management is doing something right because my mother is really super happy there. She loves it. She likes the activities and she feels very safe. The dining staff makes meal time a nice social event. She doesn't complain about the food. The activities are a chance for everybody to get together and she is not sitting in her room by herself. They have an especially nice activities director, Vicki. She always remembers everybody. I get letters in the mail and they have brochures on the counter. I think why Vicki is especially good is she knows the strengths and weaknesses of the group. Lakeshore Manor is not sterile and it is really homey. I would say the aides are super caring. They make my mom feel welcome.

I would say, for what they have to offer and what they will have to do in the future to help my mom, that it is a good price. I think the management staff do an above average job but not perfect. I am satisfied with the work they do. In terms of activities, the ones I do see mom at seem to be pretty good. It seems everything moves along really well and they are very attentive. I think the housekeepers do very well and it always looks tidy to me. After the last survey there were some things passed along to the community and they followed up with me to address that. I thought that was nice. They took care of things that concerned me and continue to check in.

Mom has lived in the community for just over a month. We felt it fit her memory care needs to best of the ones we looked at. The activities seem great everyday. The dining, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are all working well for us. The care staff are very respectful and are handling all of mom medication with no problems. Tina is incredibly helpful in assisting new families and residents moving in.

It truly felt like a connection right away and being by the water was a strong appeal and the size of it. All the staff members were so friendly, it was a home run, it felt so good. I thought it was really reasonable I only had to promise two years of payments for her so the value for what my mom's getting with no surprise costs is very good. My dealings with Amanda have been real professional and she's helped me solve problems and Tina is a wonderful ambassador for the place, she really really is. I just love that they sit at a family table and the woman who serves the food, her smile can light up the whole room, she makes them feel so welcome. The healthcare staff is very responsive and the activities are very impressive to me. There's a real dignity to the lock in, she doesn't feel like she's locked in somewhere, there's a receptionist. Everyone always has a smile on their face no matter who it is, a caregiver or dishwasher, I always see them doing things along with them. I truly could go on and on, it's a gift from God as far as I'm concerned. The community is always beautiful, it's just fabulous, I just can't say enough about it.

The dining staff is very attentive to the resident's there in regards to specific needs. I've eaten there a few times, everything always seems great. They present the food well and clean up well. They had the most activities out of all the communities I looked at, my mom is very active. They are really excellent. All the different things they do and all the people they have come in is fantastic. The caregivers that I talk to and witness interacting with my mom are really good; I don't see any problems with that. It's been a great experience so far.

I really like that the staff team knows the family members there, and that there is a concierge person working the front desk. I just like that they care and that they know my mom and her idiosyncrasies. They try to go above and above to satisfy/accommodate her. Housekeeping is excellent, it's always clean and it doesn't smell. Overall, I can say that I really like everyone that management team has hired. It's a good place.

The management staff have answered my questions and made the transition as smooth as can be. The activities are why we chose Lakeshore Manor. It's very diverse and they're always doing something. The Maintenance staff keeps everything in repair there. Anything we've asked, they've looked at. We've been extremely happy. We are thrilled they keep her busy all day long. My mom doesn’t require a lot, but so far everyone there seems well-cared for. They have a lot of staff, there's always somebody there. To anyone in the same position we are, I would highly recommend it.

My mother-in-law really likes it. She seems to like the food. She's gained 14 pounds since she moved in which is awesome because she was way underweight. The laundry, as far as I know, has been going fine at this point. Overall I think they give her meds, she's gaining weight, and she's looking good.

Having my mom there just gives me peace of mind knowing she doesn't really need someone to watch her 24/7 but someone is always there if something were to happen. I'm very happy with her being there. It's excellent both inside and out. It's always kept up very nice. The activities are excellent, I'm very happy with that, they're always going somewhere. The staff is always concerned and make sure we are happy and she is happy, they are very caring. I'm very happy with the selection that I made.

It's a fair value being received for my mom. The reception staff is always very friendly and easy to deal with. The building is kept up real well, the grounds are nice, and the interior is clean. The food always smells good. I've never tasted any, but all the residents seem to be pleased. Vicky does a good job with the residents. And it's nice, they don’t push anybody, and if you want to participate you can. There's something different every day. We are very happy with the services here.
