The Landing of Long Cove

The food is good and the service is fantastic, it has really been beefed up. He looks very happy in the activities when I come to visit. He participates in all of them. The housekeeping and maintenance of the building looks like they are doing a good job, too.

The dining is pretty decent overall. It seems like there is good enough variety and there seems to be plenty of staff. They seem to do well with the in house activities. The maintenance staff have modernized the building and kept decorated it nicely. They respond quickly and get things done in the apartment. I was able to arrange transportation to a doctor. With her being in a wheelchair it was helpful for her and me both to be transported. The care staff do pretty well and generally they are on the ball. They are doing a pretty good job and we are happy.

The management has been very friendly and very easy to work with. Darla has been super helpful. The housekeeping and laundry services have been great. They even pulled some things out of the laundry that needed to be dry cleaned so that I could take care of them. Anything that was an issue, maintenance has taken care of it and they are making some upgrades to the building. The care givers have been very good and I have been happy.

I don't see anything negative. My dad's medication is taken care of, and if anything changes, they immediately call me and are attentive. It's a beautiful facility, and anybody who has their family members her should be happy. Everything looks clean when you first walk in, and it's very well maintained. I think the housekeepers do a great job. His clothes are always clean and hung up. The activities director is amazing, and I love her. She's excited to be there and works well with the residents. There's always something going on.

I was so fortunate to find this community because my mother gets a higher level of care, along with an apartment and bathroom, so it's not like a nursing home. There is enough healthcare staff and if she presses her button, she can get whatever she needs. They normally have transportation services Tuesday or Thursday, but they accommodated her for some stuff on days that weren't normal transportation days. The maintenance fellow is very nice, and the building looks like a hotel lobby. They have a lot of activities going on, and they try to involve her. When they have the music or kids visit, they tell her to come down and don't give a choice, which is kind of good. From when we first got here, we've been welcomed, the paperwork was easy, and the front desk is wonderful. Overall, it's a good value, and she is as happy as she can be.

The staff are excellent and everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The food, activities and housekeeping seem to be good. The building is excellent and the transportation is good as well. The caregivers are excellent and caring. Overall I have been pleased with her stay here. It is a good quality for a fair price. None of these communities are cheap but this was the most affordable for the quality of care.

In terms of maintenance, I haven't noticed anything out of order. The housekeeping is pretty good on everything. Everything is pretty well kept up. As far as I know, they’re doing a pretty good job with activities. In dining, everything is sufficient. It's neatly and pleasantly presented. My mom is doing well with it. The service is good. I have no issues with that. The management is on top of everything. They keep everything in order. They're doing a good job. They keep us updated if there are any changes in her living status or anything. I think the value is good.

I like everything that they are doing. My dad tells me that he likes the food. I think it is a nice touch that the meals are cut up and easier for him to enjoy without working so hard. The care givers have been respectful. I appreciate the high level of communication and the updates. I don't see anything that needs to be improved or discussed further.

The staff have such a desire to provide all they can for the residents. The nurses have been great in terms of top level assessment. I don't know if I could give a stronger endorsement of what the nursing program has done. To have that kind of personal connection with someone, you can't pay for that.

My mom says the food is good, so that is important. The service in the dining area is very good and they know her and what she likes. In regards to the activities, they try to involve the family members and children. My mom enjoys going on the outings and it seems to be varied. My parents had a few things that needed to be fixed when they moved in, and the maintenance staff got to it right away. The times I have witnessed the drivers for the transportation, they do a good job of putting them on and off the bus carefully and safely. The van apppears to be in good condition. When I visit, there is always a nurse available to talk to me if I have a question. The nurses seem to be proactive. I feel like they are getting the quality of care that they would have received at a more expensive community.
