The Landing of Long Cove

Katie, in management, responds very quickly to problems that we have. He says he likes the food there and he enjoys the activities. All in all, I have been satisfied with the value and accommodations.

We liked the value and location as well as service, so dad moved in. It is competitively priced with the other communities. I have eaten there with my father and the food is pretty good. I am pleased they offer housekeeping and the managers provide follow up to my questions. There is a prompt response to my maintenance requests. The nurses, aides, and Med Techs are accessible and always responsive. We’re satisfied with the value, dad is safe in his apartment and comfortable.

The value of Landing of Long Cove for my father is there. I am satisfied with the accommodations provided to him, he feels safe and comfortable at the community. Management is fine, they're respectful, knowledgeable and accessible. The food is fine; I ate Thanksgiving with him for Thanksgiving and enjoyed it myself. They're portions that are healthy for you that don't overdo it, so I think that's important for the residents. For activities, I want to say they have a discussion about current events, Bingo and religious services, which I have noticed in the past. The housekeeping is really good and the laundry is fine. Regarding maintenance, I think the renovations went well and it was money well spent. The community really changed things around and I think it looks good. With my father's care, they're right on target with his medication. Overall, it has been a good experience for him.

My father lived there for almost two years and in that time everybody was very cordial, very helpful. It's a super group of people there. The food is pretty good. Yesterday they offered us lunch, and everybody was cordial, it was great. I know they had all kinds of activities going at any time. Maintenance was always available and they kept the place looking good. The care givers were excellent. Everything was good there.

I had gone to a couple different communities, toured and talked to the people. I felt The Landing had a more homey, family-like atmosphere for my husband. Price was another reason I chose The Landing, I was happy with the price. I've had quite a few issues I've had to work out with the VA and the managers have been helpful and patient. We're very happy with the nurses, med techs, and aides there; the response time is pretty good. I think there are enough activities offered, he likes the trivia things and he enjoyed the name-that-tune activity. Housekeeping is laundering his bedding and towels and they're keeping up with it. My husband is safe and comfortable there, and everybody is so helpful and friendly.

We looked at a few places, one we thought was too big, one was too small and the Landing was just right, the staff seemed like they had a good, caring attitude, they were organized and knew what they were doing. My dad has always said they have good food there and it looks like there's quite a lot of activities offered on the schedule of events. Maintenance came in and helped set up the TV; he was on the ball, right there. Overall, I think all is going well.

We visited Long Cove and were very impressed with the people there, the facility and the value so we were happy with that and went forward with it. The management is just very very friendly and accommodating and try to do whatever they can. The activities, housekeeping and healthcare services have been good.

I moved my aunt into The Landing of Long Cove almost 2 years ago. They're redoing the building and it's so pretty with new carpet and painting. She has a lovely apartment as well. There are many activities to choose from and the activity director is top notch. The activities are great. I think this is comparable to other communities and think the value is fine for what she is recieving at the community.

Management knows me and I am there pretty often because I am getting her situated, so from the minute I walk in they know me by name for the right reason. She loves the dining and they accommodate her. When they take them out for an activity, the activity may just be riding around on the countryside and it does anybody good to do that. They may go and get ice cream, but I think it's neat to just take them out just because. Maintenance was really good the one time I had to utilize them. When I asked if I could paint one wall, I went to get the paint and they got right on painting it and everything. There is no such thing as perfection, but the healthcare staff bends over backwards to make sure that her needs have been met and that my needs have been met.

The woman from the sales office was great, very upbeat and made sure that everything my mom had was brought there. They also had a welcome packet and basket for her which was very nice. It looked like they kept with up with the community. They recently completed a renovation on the outside, which was nice. The caretakers loved my mom and they sent a card with the staff member's signatures saying that they miss her and that wasn't done in the past, so that was very nice.
