Locust Grove Personal Care & Memory Care

The management staff are always all available to talk to and they're always really pleasant about it. The activities are great, Patty and Joe are fantastic at what they do, the people really like them, they treat them like human beings, not just like patients. I think the helathcare staff all do a really good job, especially Jim, Cindy and Brandy on the night shift, they're really nice people, I'm very happy with the place.

He'd been there before and we were satisfied, so when my husband needed a respite we moved him back into Locust Grove. The apartment is fine, and they seem to have the toiletries and toilet paper pretty well stocked up. There's always care giving staff around and we never have a problem finding them. My husband has used the van and the transportation service was very accommodating. I think they do pretty well in the dining room, the food is good, the menu is varied, and the servers are satisfactory. I feel comfortable approaching the management still with any questions, they're respectful. Maintenance and housekeeping have been fine, we've had no problems. Overall, I think Locust Grove does pretty well.

Due to the location and the environment and the staff, we moved my mom in. We liked the staff per resident ratio, we already recommended it to someone for a short-term stay they needed. The caregivers are pretty good and accessible, housekeeping is pretty responsive, and dining seems good. The maintenance guys helped with the move-in on the first day and I see them working around the place, so they do keep up with it. The director and sales and everyone in management have answered my questions and I haven’t had any trouble with them so far. So far I think the value is above average. I believe it's a real safe environment and mom is comfortable there. The room sizes are good; she has a lot of space. So far we like the community.

My uncle had requested to move to Locust grove as he knew people there. The upper management and sales team are awesome. They have helped us the whole way. It was a difficult situation, and they were awesome. We can always find a caregiver, the community is well-kept, and my uncle is comfortable and certainly safe. It seems they have a lot of activities going on for the residents. The one day we were there the housekeeper came and that girl was awesome. The room was spotless when she finished and she was so friendly. We are completely satisfied with the value my uncle is getting here.

My mother and sister moved to Locust Grove about two years ago, so we had some experience visiting her and seeing how things ran and she seemed to be pretty good with it so I thought it was a good place. Everybody has been very helpful, every time we have questions things go pretty smooth. I always look at the board when I go and they seem to keep them busy, she's made some nice crafts and she participates, there's a nice big list with all the activities going on. It's always very clean and I always see people cleaning, that's one of the reasons I liked it as well. The healthcare staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. We're really pleased.

We had such a great experience at this community when my Uncle lived at Locust Grove. Management was very helpful whenever I needed anything. My Uncle was very happy with the food and dining service. John, in maintenance, was phenomenal and the grounds were phenomenal as well. Jim, Lisa, Brandy and Donna in the healthcare department were phenomenal and very helpful. There were so many good people at this community that helped my Uncle and I cried my eyes out moving him. We thought my Uncle was going to pass this summer and the staff went above and beyond to keep him safe, they were so good.

I thought the management was excellent at Locust Grove. The food was good and the servers were all friendly in the dining room. The activities were very good and there was an activity schedule posted in their room every week. Housekeeping and laundry were excellent and they had wonderful maintenance men. The grounds were beautiful and one of the maintenance men took my mother in her wheelchair to see the backside of the grounds because that was kept up really nice and she was just thrilled with it.

My mother has been there 2 years and I do think the services she receives are good. Management is respectful, accessible and responsive, and while I am usually not there when they eat, I can tell you they assist my mother in eating. They do her room clean and they do her clothes regularly, the community is well kept and when I call in, they don't tell me they'll have to check on her, they just can tell me right then and there.

All of the people there are really nice. The Med Techs and the aides all treat mom with respect. Two people in particular stand out from the rest of the caregivers: Jim and Brandy have been especially nice with mom and they bring her her meds on a routine basis. I have eaten there myself. The quality and amount of food is quite good, and the dining staff treats the residents with respect. The activities are top-notch. Jo, the Director of Activities, she is just a sweetheart. She always tries to engage those who attend, and encourage those who don’t. I know the Maintenance guys have been extremely helpful and cooperative since my mother first moved in. Putting all that together, I think mom gets what she needs for the price we're paying. Overall, we're pleased.

My cousin moved in back in 2015, February. They've been wonderful to her and I like what they do. I think the Management does a wonderful job, and I think she gets wonderful care. I've eaten there many times and I think the food is nice. Housekeeping and Maintenance do a nice job. I think the building is in excellent condition. They redid it, it's wonderful. Outside is always nice and neat and trim. I've recommended a lot of people go there. I think the whole operation is very well done, very nicely done. I am truly satisfied.
