Locust Grove Personal Care & Memory Care

I like the management very much. They listen to anything that I have to say. If I have any complaints they listen to everything and they fix it. They seem to have activities all the time and they really seem to try hard with activities. I just think that the maintenance people are so good. The guys that work outside keep the grounds beautiful. Anything that gets broken, they are right on it to fix it. I think they do a wonderful job - wonderful. I would be likely to recommend it. It is one of the nicer homes I've ever been in. There are just a few things that could be improved upon, but overall I like Locust Grove, and, as far as my mom is concerned, so does she.

It seems like it is comparable to other places and the other places didn't seem as nice. I feel like the management is always personable. When I let them know something they always take the time to help out. They are very nice and always say hello and address us by name. My father-in-law loves the food. He always eats all of his food and never complains. The people that work food service are very nice. The activities are always appropriate and everybody seems to like them. The outside always looks nice and the inside is always clean. The caretakers are always so nice. I am there once a week and my husband is there once a week. They are always very kind to my father-in-law and talk to him. We are really happy with the facility.

My mother seems to enjoy it. We did see the menu; it looks like a pretty decent menu. We were there on a weekend and saw someone out painting lines. It's fairly well kept. It sounds like she keeps fairly busy when she wants to be, so we are satisfied.

It's an attractive building. The people are nice. The speed of food service is always fine, the people are great. The salads are green, the food is hot. My aunt's room is almost always spotless. It smells good and it's clean. The entire facility is well-maintained. I'm a nurse and I've helped patients from my hospital to go there, and in Locust Grove they recuperate much better. They're very well-hydrated there, a common problem elsewhere. The residents in Memory Care are doing better condition than many other places.

The value is exceptional. My father-in-law has been so selective all his life, but he is now eating foods he never ate before because the food is so appetizing. He has many choices on what to eat. His apartment is excellent. Laundry has been excellent. He is 94 and is in better health than the rest of the family. This facility is excellent.

I am very pleased that I placed my sister in there. She seems to like it quite a bit. She is comfortable and gets very good care. Compared to other places that I had visited the value is good. She has a lovely apartment. Whenever I have had a question the management staff was very helpful. I see the schedule on the bulletin board and I think the activities director is very clever. She does a lot of different things and it seems like it is a lot of fun. She has used the maintenance service and those guys are terrific. The care staff is very kind and concerned. I have been to several and this is the best.

I was working with a consultant and I was looking for a facility closer to my home than where my mother currently was and she needed a memory care unit. What I liked about Locust Grove was the similarity to the place she was before previously and their professionalism there, there's a receptionist desk and the executive director met me in a suit and tie, so all of those things were impressive to me. All the rooms look spotless to me. We ate with her on Easter Sunday and it was very, very nice. Everyone I've met has been very helpful, friendly and always responsive to my calls.

I have been extremely happy with everything and my mom calls it a resort. Joan, the nurse and I have had talks together that have reassured me regarding my mom's care. The food looks great. Her room is always clean. The facility is kept up really well. The staff is friendly, caring and attentive. They care about her. I have not heard anything negative about this facility.

I'm very satisfied with the level of care we're getting. It's a good value. I like everything they do. The staff in Memory Care is great; I love them and respect them all. Chrissy who cleans is just great, we love her.

I am proud of this place. It's not often that you get a good place where it might be a little bit high but you know that you can trust these people. The girls are dedicated; they are a good selling point for them. I think the caregivers are above everybody else. I think they are very giving, involved with the patients and they love the patients that they have. The maintenance helped install the TV and they have come to clean the floors. I think they do a very good job. I love the community and the services there.
