The Lynmoore at Lawnwood Assisted Living and Memory Care

I live many hours away and I do visit, but not every day, and they take great care of my mom. The management is great, the care givers too. I talk to them every week. I know my mom's happy with the food, and when I have eaten there, the staff has been very pleasant. My mom does some of the activities. I see the daily postings when I am there, it seems like when I am there they keep up with a list of activities. Housekeeping takes really good care of the room and her clothes. I am very pleased and happy with the care the community takes of her.

I feel like for the most part the management is decent. I have eaten there in the dining room several times. The food is decent and is better than her last facility. Since she has moved to Lynmoore she has gained weight which is good. We absolutely adore the manager of activites and she is the number one reason my grandmother stays there. I can't say enough about her. The care staff are always very nice and polite with her. She is hard of hearing and they never seem to be frustrated with her.

We moved them in because we were trying to keep mom and my brother in the same community. My brother needs a little more than Assisted Living and Lynmoore offered that. We moved them in, my mom needs Memory Care and they offer that. I think the management team really tries hard to do everything to accommodate us. I think the caregivers are very dedicated and very caring. They are all there because they want to help people. That's really comforting when you're the relative, and they contact me immediately if there are issues. I think they've done a great job with activities, particularly in Memory Care where mom is. It's made a difference in her ability to be aware of her surroundings. I really admire the way they plan activities and all the things they have going on. The staff works hard to get everyone involved, and the ladies who do that are very enthusiastic. Housekeeping has been good and maintenance is helpful. We got a hospital bed for mom and they had to get rid of the old bed and they took care of all the arrangements. I have high regards, I think they're doing a wonderful job. My mom and brother have been there a short time but we're happy with the accommodations and the level of care.

I chose this for my mother because it was close to my house, everyone was very friendly, and they remember everyone's name. I am very happy having mom here. Before she moved in the apartment was all cleaned and painted for her and they even hung flowers on the wall outside her window. The food is pretty good here and I think the activities are wonderful. She went to exercise and other things yesterday and she was tired last night. Everyone there is so friendly, even the patients.

I moved my dad there because I did some research and a member of our church family had been there. So far everyone has always been very helpful and friendly and made me feel more comfortable about having my dad there. My dad is very pleased with the food. He seems to really enjoy it. It seems like my dad is cooperating and participating in some of the activities. He plays guitar and harmonica so he has been doing a lot with music. The maintenance staff was very helpful with the carts and helping us get in and out. It feels like he has settled in very well. He is eating and he is clean. His room is clean and he is taken care of very well. He enjoys some of the activities especially playing his guitar. It is never easy to put a loved one in a facility but overall it is a positive experience for him and for us.

It was probably the staff there that convinced my mom to move in. Another thing is that I wanted mom to stay busy. So far, I've been there almost every day, and she’s always doing activities, so that's very good. I think her room is very clean; it's real nice. The care givers have been awesome, and mom is safe and comfortable there, so the value looks good so far.

Everybody seemed to be very helpful and receptive. It seems like they always had a lot of things going on but my mom didn't participate in half of the things. They always seemed to be engaging with people to do things. All in all, maintenance was very helpful and the room was comfortable.

In general, I feel the prices are fair for the Lynmoore. Annie does a great job and the people that help her do the best they can with the activities. The maintenance does a great job. They seem to be on top of it with everything that needs to be done. Olga the nurse does a fantastic job of monitoring my mom. When my mom is off color she calls me and lets me know. I will get phone calls advising me of what is going on. Ashley at the front desk does a fantastic job. She knows what is going on all the time. If I want to know what is going on with my mom all I have to do is ask Ashley. She is one of those players that keeps everything running smoothly.

Once I visited Lynmoore at Lawnwood it was the staff that convinced me it was the right place for my cousin; I felt they could handle a wide range of residents. All the caregivers have been really good. I know my cousin is difficult, and so, I get the impression they are engaging with her and providing the level of assistance she needs. Bathing takes two people, and two people are always there for that. Maintenance keeps the building and the grounds 100% good. We moved furniture in on Saturday and the maintenance team was helpful moving things in and positioning things where I wanted them. I think that the management team is really good. Very responsive, engaging, and I don’t have to ask because they anticipate. It's been a pleasure working with the management at Lynmoore. In real time, I have cell numbers and if I text, I get a text back or phone call. From what I can tell, there's a variety to the activities, and the residents are engaged. I'd say housekeeping there is good, I don’t have any complaints. All the laundry looks clean. On my last visit her bed was made, her clothes were clean, and her room was clean. It's not cheap, but it feels like it's worth the money. So far, so good.

My mother just moved into Lynmoore at Lawnwood and I am very impressed with the Memory Care Manager because I have already had some experience with that. So far, we're satisfied with the services provided because she likes the food, the housekeeping is good, her bed is always made and the room is always in good shape. Regarding the care provided, they're all very caring and interact well with her so all in all, I would definitely recommend someone to the community if they had similar needs to my mother.
