Madison House

This community is so nice and cheerful. It makes you feel better being here. Everyone tries their hardest and does their best. This is one fine place. I feel very safe and comfortable. It's the best community I have been in. The staff treats you so good here. You cannot beat it. I got my strength back and they told me I never would. I am 82 years old and everything has worked out great. I feel good all of the time, I am happy and cheerful. It is a great place. I would recommend this community to anyone.

The move in was very easy to do. We had no problems whatsoever. My mom is pretty well satisfied with everything in the dining area. From the things that I have seen on the calendar, they have plenty of activities for them to choose from. In regards to the maintenance, it is going wonderfully. She was in there just a few days, and they switched out her refrigerator and put new counter tops in. They hooked up the cable TV within the first hour of her being there. She says that he is always being friendly and popping his head in and asking how things are going. The care givers all do wonderfully. My mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about all of them.

The price is very good, and the apartment space is all my mother needs. Everything with the housekeeping and laundry services is fine. They do a good job. What I like is that they try to plan activities around what residents personally like to do. I was asked what my mom liked to do, and before I knew it, they had it there and my mother participated. It's just awesome how they run activities. She is eating and they make sure she is getting proper nutrition, so we couldn't ask for more with regards to the dining experience. The management is awesome, and they answer my questions with no hesitation. My mother feels safe and comfortable at the community. Overall, everything is going fine. I just feel that everyone at the community is fantastic. We couldn't have found a better place for her to live.

Management checked in on my dad and with me. I was really satisfied with them. They were super friendly and did whatever they could to help out. The staff was great. He has a lot of fun with the activities. The housekeeping was consistent. The building was in good shape. The price is comparable to everywhere else, and it is worth it. He always got his meds on time. The care staff seemed to go the extra mile. They would come in and stay with him until he took them. I was satisfied with how that was handled.

My mom likes the weekly bus trips where they drive around and do things. They do a lot of activities. It's good. There's things she's never done. I think they really stimulate them there. The maintenance is goind a pretty good job. They hung a cupboard in the bathroom for her towels, and they did that right away. I've always seen the building clean and uncluttered. The food is good. I think the servers in the dining area are really nice. She hasn't said anything negative. The management staff were very helpful and friendly. If you make a phone call and say you'll be there at a certain time, they'll be there. The community is small, so it's not overwhelming for her. She has something to stimulate her to go out and be with people.

I can't complain about one thing. It's clean, the medicine is here, and the cooking is wonderful. My medicine is here every night. The care staff is very good, and they're very thorough. There is nothing that I see here that is not good. The doors are dark wood and polished, and the walls are painted. The maintenance department is excellent. They have wonderful housekeepers, and they scrub and mop every other night. If you make a spill, they're there with the bucket to clean it up. The laundry comes every Friday. They pick it up, they fold it, and they bring it back to your room. They keep us busy with the activities. We play cards, we play dominos, and we made pumpkins. They're wonderful people, and the entertainment is good. The food is also wonderful. They have a salad every time, they have dessert, and they have the maint course. I'm perfectly happy. They're good cooks. There's nothing I can say bad about the management. They're here all the time. In the short time I've been here, I feel very safe. My apartment is wonderful. I think, by far, this is one of the nicest places I've been to.

If I've needed a copy of a bill or questions answered, they've been really good. I have no issues. Everything has been wonderful. I think the activities are great. She goes to bingo and some of the exercise. From what I've seen they are always doing something. They are good about reaching out, very endearing and personable. All the people are. I think everything is as good as could be expected.

Peggy, the cook, does a good job. We all do love the chef salads that she fixes. If there is something wrong with our apartment we tell the maintenance man and he is Johnny on the spot there. I am really pleased with the healthcare team, everyone does a really good job.

Monique, the current administrator, is absolutely awesome. When I call, she's there and helps me in any way that I need her to. She keeps me up to date with my mother's health and care, I'm very satisfied. I think Beth in Activities does an absolutely awesome job, she makes the activities based on what each resident likes to do, which I think is awesome, a lot of places don't do that. Everyone is just absolutely fantastic, everyone has been more than accommodating to me and my mother, I just can't ask for a better staff or community.

Mom does really well with the activities. The activities director there does a good job. They have bingo, dominoes, cards, they have puzzles put out and she gets visitors from other organizations to come in. I always think it looks nice when I go in there. Things are always picked up and vacuumed. Overall, the care my mom gets here is good.
