Mattison Crossing

I think they had plenty of activities and they were geared to the capabilites of the residents. The shared a calendar that came out monthly. When I went there there was always something going on. The staff is excellent. I was very happy with the nursing staff. They do have some very great people working there and I hope they are still there.

I think the price and value is perfectly fine. I don't have any complaints about it. I am pleased about the accommodations. I am very happy. The management was very, very helpful. I am very happy that she is in a kosher place. On a whole I think the food is fine. I don't find it to be institutional. The keep them moving and they don't keep them in one room. They seem to keep them busy and have shared the calendar. The building and the grounds are kept up very nicely. There is never a smell in there. I would absolutely recommend it to others.

My father had been at another community before and we were looking for something a little smaller and something that could get him back to assisted living. This seemed to be a perfect fit for him. Maintenance is wonderful, when I've asked for things to be done they're prompt in getting them resolved. Every time I come in the carpets are clean. I always see people cleaning. They really do have a lot of activities for them. Management was wonderful. Any time I would call they would accept my calls and send texts to get all of our information. I am very happy with it so far.

Some of the reasons I chose the community for my mother was a mix of men and women, the schedule of activities seemed interesting, and the proximity was the main driving reason. I am very pleased with the nurses and aides. Everyone is friendly at dinner time. The dining staff do try to facilitate communication between the people and the workers. Everyone we have spoken to has been responsive and supportive. I think there is a genuine desire to do a good job and help everyone.

It was my mother's choice to move into Mattison Crossing. The location was a big factor because my sister lives close by and also the cleanliness of the facility, the size of the apartment and the fact that it was kosher was a deciding factor for my mom as well. My mom seems to be totally satisfied with the dining. Although my mom is not a big participant in the activities, what is available is enough to satisfy her. She's always telling us how wonderful the housekeeping and laundry is. Overall, comparitively within the area, it is a fair price.

This is my husband's second stay at Mattison Crossing. I moved him back here about 9 months ago. I'd say the value is very good and the management has been very cooperative and very welcoming to us when we came back a second time. They respond and answer their phones for any questions we have. I do see that they offer a variety of activities, such as crafts, puzzles, sing-a-longs, movies and sit down exercises. There is plenty to do if they want to do it. They keep the community very clean. We have one particular nurse and she handles him very well. I'm very happy with where he is.

I'm very satisfied. His favorite thing is eating out and going on the bus. I've had no problems with housekeeping and when my brother needs anything fixed, maintenance is there. The care staff does there best too. I don't think there's anything wrong.

I feel like they really care about my mother-in-law. When I visit her, she's very put together and she's always very clean and well taken care of. They make sure she's up and out of bed, which is good. I feel very comfortable speaking to people. Every time I visit her, it's been very clean in her room as well. They're very on top of things. They're very friendly over there.

They offer a lot of activities. They go out to lunch and different things, which my mother enjoys. The cleaning of her room is excellent. They clean regularly. They do her sheets and towels in the laundry and that's fine. Maintenance is very good to respond when she needs anything. We've been there a long time and overall it's been a good experience.

My mother is definitely being tended to at the community. They have patience with her. They do take care of her, I have comfort knowing she's there and knowing she's being looked after and not being ignored or forgotten. She even started doing yoga lately so there is a nice variety that definitely seems to have improved. There are more outside entertainers coming in. There is enough variety of things. I think the staff is great. The front desk knows me and they make a point to say hello. They're very courteous there.
