The Meadows - Assisted Living

My moms apartment is really nice. I don't know if I could find another facility that has such a nice apartment' the layout and where it is located. They do do my mom's laundry once a week and they change her sheets and they do a good job.

The price is fine. If it wasn't fine, I wouldn't be here. My apartment is everything I need. It is great. The food and service are good. From what I understand, the activities are pretty good. I only had housekeeping once but it was great. The apartment and building are in great condition. The caregivers are good.

I am pleased with his apartment and my dad even mentioned that it was just the perfect amount of space. I like he was able to get a one bedroom with a kitchenette and living space. He was able to bring pictures and things from home to make it feel like his place. All of the staff is really helpful and very attentive to him. He is very impressed with the food. When I am there and see the food, it looks good and smells really good. The staff is very patient with him on going over the menu and makes suggestions of portion size since he isn't a big eater. His room is very clean and his bed is always made. When you walk into the community it is a clean, warm and welcoming place. We went out on a walk Saturday and everything looked nice and manicured around the grounds. We just used the transportation for the first time yesterday. Mr. Ricky was our driver and he was exceptional. He helped us get on and off and everything went well. The care staff is very attentive to him. They address him in a nice, professional way and he feels comfortable with them. He knows them by name. The way they interact with him they never act rushed. They always take time in case he has something to ask or wants to discuss with them.

My father-and-law has been staying there for the past year, and he's comfortable. The care givers are really, really good. We've spoken with them many times, and our concerns here and there as far as health issues, and they're very good. I would say the dining is very good. It's quality food, and I think the servers are very attentive. Maintenance has been good, and housekeeping has been really good. He hasn’t complained and always has clean clothes. The Meadows of Elk Grove is really good. There are so many things offered and everyone is cordial there.

The staff does an excellent job of taking care of my sister and I appreciate that. The food appears to be good and the service seems to do well in the dining room. When I am there the staff is working with other residents and they seem to be doing a good job with activities. The maintenance person took care of a problem once and did a good job. He took care of it right away. I am satisfied with the housekeeping and laundry service. I think the staff at the Atrium do an outstanding job. I have nothing but appreciation for the ladies there

Pat the manager has been awesome and really, really great. I called her the other day about something that came up and she got right back to me. The fact that my dad eats the food is really, really great. I ate with him the other day and I thought the food was good. The staff was fine. They brought everybody's food and they took care of us. It looks like there are a lot of different activities and I look forward to participating in some of them with my dad. The apartment was spotless when we moved in. The building is beautiful and he is very happy there. In regards to the care, I have talked to several different people and they all have been helpful. They assured me that my dad is in good hands. They definitely will give me a call if they need something like medication. They have been really good about communicating.

This community is one of the better communities around and my mom is very happy. All the front desk personal are very nice. Jennifer and Grant are very nice and accommodating. They pass messages along very nicely. The food is pretty good and she loves the breakfasts and the lunches. The activities look very nice. I like the movie schedule. The laundry is very nice. She seems to be very happy with that. Maintenance is always on top of things. She had a leak under her kitchen sink and they were on that right away. She needed a calendar hung and they came right away to do that. The maintenance guys are really good. She likes the transportation and the vehicles are very nice. Gwennie and the rest of the care staff are top notch.

When my dad or I have had to deal with management in the two years he's lived there, they've been good. The activities are good, and housekeeping is very faithful, my dad is very happy. Just recently he started using the transportation more and has been on some shopping trips.

I do feel good about mother being there and for my brother and I to feel that way means a lot. The way they have her room set up it takes advantage of all the space. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The people I have dealt with have always been nice and knowledgeable. The little gal that does the cleaning is amazing. She really gets down to business. The caregivers do a good job. I would say they are above average. We just really appreciate them.

We liked the price, and I visited the Meadows and liked it, and later on mom moved in. I dealt with Pat in management mainly, and she has been absolutely fabulous. I think the Memory Care Manager has also been very good. We're satisfied with maintenance and housekeeping, and from what I've observed, I'd say the activities are pretty good. My neighbor’s father moved into Assisted Living after we recommended it, and we got a credit for it. Mom's room is spotless, she's spotless, and she has a phenomenal time with the hairdresser there.
