The Meadows - Assisted Living

It was convenient for me, the location, and seeing it, it was very nice and clean. The Meadows had more of a homely feel, more of an acceptance, more genuine, loving and caring whereas I felt the others wouldn't be as good of a fit for my dad. The atmosphere was great when I got there and I knew right away it would be a good fit for my dad. Management have been really good, they've been working with me and working out different issues that we've had that have come up. They're very prompt with the cleaning, they'll do anything you ask, and it’s very nice. They've all been great, I think on the website they have a five star rating and as far as I'm concerned, it's a ten star place.

My brother chose The Meadows of Elk Grove over a year ago now and he has been satisfied with what the community offers. Management is respectful and responsive, the dining is very good, the maintenance crew is very good and they have plenty activities, so he is always going exercising. With regards to his care, the healthare staff is really sweet and they're all knowledgeable, accessible and responsive to my brother's needs. I'd say that all in all, he is happy with the services and accommodations provided to him and I know that feels safe and comfortable there.

My brother is living at The Meadows of Elk Grove and I think everything is going along fine. Management communicates fairly well and I have been there when they were setting up the residents for eating, so I am very satisfied with the way they handle things. The activity department seems to be working with the residents all the time doing things, his room is always clean and the place always looks good as well as the maintenance. Regarding his care, the healthcare staff does a very excellent job and when I come in, they know who I am with at least 1 or 2 people who will acknowledge me, Overall, we're satisfied with the services and accommodations that are being provided to him, he feels safe and comfortable at the community.

From what I’ve seen Meadows of Elk Grove has entertainment and bingo, different activity options. The maintenance man there is a good guy, and friendly like most of the staff. The caregivers are pretty good, and the food and dining and housekeeping are okay. I'm looking forward to seeing some improvements in communicating with hospice, but I know my mom is safe and they make sure she is as comfortable as she can be.

We chose this community because it had been referred to us by a friend who had their dad here. I think management is pretty great. They have always been very responsive and call back. I am impressed with them. My dad really seems to like the food and the menu seems good. My dad really liked the one activity he has participated in. Housekeeping has done a really good job so far. The maintenance is pretty good. Everything seems to be well maintained and clean. The caregivers seem to be very pleasant, patient and kind people. All in all, this community has an elegant feel to it and does not feel like a nursing home.

since being at the communty my grandma likes the activities. They go to the casino once a month and she likes bingo. My grandma really likes her housekeeper. She is very sweet and she is doing a good job. She feels very comfortable with her. I haven't seen any problems. The maintenance is great and the building is very clean. My grandmother likes the bus driver and she says that he is really nice.

My mom has lived at the community for a little over a year now and she likes to participate in the activities. She really enjoys the bingo and the outings out of the community. I think management, maintenance and transportation all been very good to her too. The care staff checks in on her often and that gives me and my siblings peace of mind. They know me and I know them. They have made a real definite point to get to know the residents and the people that visit and I think that is a great thing for them to do.

I think my mother is happy with both the service and the food. I have eaten there many times and so has my sister. We were pleased with the quality of the food and the people are kind. I think there is a decent variety. They offer several activities. I think she has been able to have things taken care of in an expeditious manner. The building and grounds are good. I never see things that are broken or dirty or in disrepair. They have been very helpful in transporting her to doctors appointments, Walmart, Target and the bank. I have not heard any kind of complaint with them. She has been able to schedule appointments and get rides there. I think they a got a new van and that really helped with comfort levels. My mom has gotten good care. She had at least one fall and she was able to get immediate medical care. I have been recommending the community. My mom frequently has guests there for dinner and she is really appreciative of the chef and how cooperative and helpful he is. They are very well taken care of. She is very pleased with that.

My family friend has been at The Meadows since April of 2017 and everything has been satisfactory. We really like the staff there and we have got to know them, so we hug them every time we come in. In terms of management and staff, she likes everybody there and she says they take good care of her. She has gained weight there, they have a lot of good activities and it's always nice and clean when we're there. Thus far, we're satisfied with our choice and I have recommended to The Meadows at least 2 or 3 times already, so I think really highly of it.

My mom is perfectly happy with the variety and quality in the dining room. They tune into what her needs are. They are observant and helpful. She enjoys most of the activites and tries most of them. They are very helpful in trying to help her do them. She is really happy with the housekeeping. The gals there are really friendly to her and take care of her. She is really happy with how they fold her clothes and how her clothes come back on time. The building seems to be in good condition and well maintained. She has had a couple things happen and the caretakers have been right there. They took care of everything which was very good. Overall, they do a very commendable job of taking care of their residents. All of the personel in there are very kind and observant to the residents.
