The Meadows - Assisted Living

My grandpa lived at the community for a while before having to move for increased care, but while he was there everything seemed tip top to me. It was like a Denny's downstairs. You can get anything that you want to eat. The staff always seemed helpful when I was there. My grandpa's room was always clean when I was there. The building was nice. Maintenance needed to switch the hinges on the fridge door and they had that done before my grandpa moved in. The caregivers were really helpful and always asked how he was doing when he was in the hospital.

"They feed her really well. My mom has put on weight."

Everybody in management is always cooperative and they're a great team. They have a lot of activities and we haven't had any problems with maintenance. My mother uses transportation to go to Walmart and the Casino. They got the newer van now, so that is really good. The healthcare staff is wonderful. I just think they're very good and have a lot of patience.

I actually really like my dad's nursing staff. Several of them call me and keep me informed on things going on with him and stuff. The only experience I've had with maintenance was his toilet was messing up and within an hour of me reporting they were there fixing it. It is a very well kept community and looks good and it takes a staff to give that kind of care and get stuff done.

Management knows all of the people and care about all of the people and treat them with dignity. The food was aleays very good and my dad enjoyed it. His room was always clean and that was good. He loved the outings and the drivers that took him places. The caretakers were very attentive and caring. We were really happy with how things were at The Meadows.

My step-mom has been at the community for about three years now. I have been there at the beginning of the meals and they are courteous and respectful. They have outings and the fact that they do those things is great. The building is well kept. We haven't had any major concerns.

The care staff has been very friendly and good. Houskeeping is very curteous.

We chose the Meadows for my mom because it felt more exclusive and had availability with a studio apartment, which is what we were looking for. Pat made the experience wonderful. And we got a recommendation from a friend. Pat in management made the decision very easy. My brother and I agree she is very welcoming and caring. A situation like that is hard emotionally and she helped us cross that bridge. Elena was also a very huge key factor in the decision. She was very caring and open, and any time I need anything Housekeeping is fine. Transportation worked out real well. The driver was very kind and caring. I met her at an appointment and he gave me his cell phone number and asked me to call when she was ready. They're all very responsive there, and that's appreciated. Whatever concerns I have had have been adressed. The staff is the reason you want to stay, I never have any problem getting ahold of anyone.

The few times I've interacted with management they've been responsive. Over the course of her living here my mom has seemed very happy with the food. She is in Memory Care and participates in the activities they offer, which has been good. The housekeeping has kept her room clean and free of clutter. Maintenance has also been helpful; they will be hanging some pictures for us soon. The care staff has been good too, they always have her clean.

The management team is very friendly. When I am there visiting my mom, they pop in and make sure she's okay and invite her to go down to activities. They've been upfront and honest. There were no hidden fees or anything. Regarding the dining, I have looked at the menu and I'm pleased with it. There's a lot of stuff that she likes on there. The woman that cleans her room does an excellent job. She did plug up her toilet once, and I had to have an outlet changed and maintenance was right there within five minutes. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. They seem to care about the people that are living there and do their best to help them out. I appreciate that.
