Mission Creek

I go there to visit my dad almost every weekend and the staff seems to be friendly and they like my dad and take care of him. In the summer time the patio is nice and clean so they can sit out there and enjoy the warmer weather. I recently had a Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner there and it was good. I have no complaints about the food and the servers are all very good. Sometimes my dad does participate in the activities and he likes the bingo. They keep them busy.

We chose this community for my Aunt because of the location more than anything else. The management is perfect, they're unbelievable. Terry Lynn was the one that talked us into having my Aunt go there and she's been excellent. Anna the director is excellent too as far as explaining what the costs are. Terry Lynn and Anna have truly done an excellent job not only helping my Aunt but helping my family as well. I've seen the calendar and there are plenty of activities there and the healthcare staff is great. It's a good value.

My mother has a terrible disease, but for the most part everyone involved at Mission Creek has made it a little more comforting for her. The pricing is competitive and we have been fortunate enough to have a private room this whole time, so accommodations have been satisfactory. The Director of the Memory Care side is very hands on, very aware of what is happening in her area with the staff and treats both, my mother and other residents like they're her family. We have someone who will generally help to feed her or watch that she is eating and the quality of food has been satisfactory. If there is something broken in her room, the maintenance man is rather quick to respond, but also housekeeping keeps both her apartment and bathroom very clean. Regarding her care, there is staff that goes above and beyond their duties, so we're in a good place right now.

Angela, in management, is always very responsive. She listens to our concerns, addresses things and is proactive. We are thrilled with that. It looks like my mother-in-law gets a variety of food and a good quantity of food. This community does a good job trying to have activities and housekeeping cleans her room well.

The management has been awesome. You can see that they enjoy the job that they do. It has been a really easy transition for my mom and her children. We feel like she is very welcome there and she is in good hands. In regards to the activities, they have a lot of stuff and they put out the calendar ahead of time so family members who want to participate in any events know when it is going to happen and where. We use the laundry service and the clothes and sheets and towels are clean. It smells clean. The only thing that my mom has used the transportation for is to go on the field trips. That worked out great. They have a bus that they put all the residents on and that has worked out excellent. Everybody is very hands on over there. If you have any questions the care staff has answers and if they don't have answers they will get the answer for you. My mom has been there for a very short time and all the staff seems to know her name. They seem to know her and what she is doing and how she is. It is a very welcoming environment.

I just want all of the staff to be acknowledged with how wonderful they are and how wonderful they are to my mother. It's a nice feeling because my mom was with me for 20 years and it was a hard decision to make but she's happy. Management is very helpful and they're right there, they don't hide from anyone. They're out in the open, they're talking, they're saying hello and everything runs great. The dining is great and Nigel is great. If my mom needs something, housekeeping wise, they're right on it and if my mom has a maintenance problem, Ed or Christine are right there. The care staff is so good to my mother. She is like the queen, everyone takes care of her. She always has her baths, they take her blood pressure and give me the readings, they're just great.

I am satisfied with the services and accommodations my mother received at Mission Creek, she feels safe at the community. My mom has participated in a few activities since she has moved there, which is good. My mom was never a joiner, so for her to participate in a couple of activities is something I hope she continues, so I think the activities are fine. With regards to housekeeping, everything is always clean and pristine looking, including the laundry which is getting done too. It seems like they keep up with everything good and nothing is falling apart, so kudos to whoever is working there since they're doing a good job. With my mother's care, the healthcare staff does their jobs correctly and they seem very responsive, so they're doing a good job. Overall, everything is good at the community.

My mom's apartment is perfect. Management was very welcoming and they made sure all our questions were answered and did not rush us. They were awesome. I have eaten with my mom a few times and it has been very good. It is wonderful that this community has things on the weekends. That is wonderful because she gets out of her room. They come and get her for things. She is trying new things which is wonderful. The maintenance man has been really good. Every time we have asked him to do something, he has done it really promptly. The grounds and building are beautiful.

I think they have a nice variety of activities. Mom has some health issues so she isn’t participating in many now; she did before over the year she's been there. I think it's a nice variety and I know mom likes Chelsea, the Activities Director. She comes and checks on mom, sees how she's feeling and invites her. They do have a variety on the dining menus and the servers are pleasant to my mom. The community is always very clean. I know she has pulled off her toilet roll holder instead of grab bar and the maintenance man came and fixed it without hassling her. As soon as there's a problem, they're on it. Housekeeping is fine, laundry and cleaning. Mom is safe and she's comfortable, if she needs help, then somebody is there.

Overall, this community is a good value. The current management team is more responsive than previous teams. The food is okay and the servers are really attentive. The gals who run the activities are outstanding. They are very loving and caring. They have a good variety of things for the residents to do. The housekeeper does a good job and the maintenacne man, Ed, does a really good job and helps the residents. He went above and beyond when my aunt's TV set suddenly died. That was personal property and he didn't have to do anything. He helped her out and put a TV that was in storage in her room until we could get a new one for her. My aunt had a horrible learning curve with the remote control for the TV and the staff all helped her out. I have never had a problem finding a caregiver if I have a question or if she needs help.
