Morningside of Athens

Overall, we're satisfied with everything. The staff is very nice and caring and they will come in and check on my mom to ensure they're meeting her needs. Her laundry is always done, her apartment is clean, and the activities director has provided an awful lot for the residents. We've had no issues with this community. We were fortunate to get her there.

Management was fantastic, everybody was really good. The staff was caring, great people. They took super care of her. The dining room staff was wonderful. The housekeeping and healthcare staffs were great, they took great care of her and kept everything up.

I think they really care about their people. She was happy and that made me happy. There are some staff that I am really grateful for. I never saw anybody not treated nicely and with dignity and I was there a lot. The grounds are beautiful and it is a pretty nice place inside.

My sister was at the community for almost a year until she was well enough to go home. In that time, I thought the dining hall was excellent and the activities and housekeeping are very good. I think everything at Morningside is good.

My parents moved into the community because it was close to where they had lived in a community they're familiar with. Also, the staff there was very nice when we visited, and I think the price is competitive. Any questions we have had, management has answered. They have helped my parents frit in there. We haven't had any problems whatsoever. The activities are consistent and varied, and housekeeping and laundry are good. We are completely satisfied with the care givers. Mom and dad are safe and comfortable there.

The room size is perfect for my aunt. Teresa, the manager, has been fantastic. She has done everything that I have needed her to do and quickly. My aunt likes the bingo, singing and the religious activities they have. The building is very nice. It is one of the reasons we chose here. Things are up to date. I have no complaints about the care. They have been very attentive.

The proximity of Morningside to my brother and I is good, and we felt the residents here are more relatable to my mom, so she moved in. All the activities people seem to really have their heart in it and perform to their best ability. The dining is good. I go by my mother and she's pleased, it seems like a simple diet but it's fine. I've got no complaints with housekeeping or the caregivers. We're pleased with the cost to service ratio.

We chose Morningside because it was more homey and it wasn't as huge as some of the other facilities that we toured. Theresa the executive director is super. She is a hard worker. She does all the different jobs if she is needed. My mother has enjoyed going to the activities. The housekeepers are doing the laundry and housekeeping and it has been fine. I feel like the caretakers are doing all they can. It looks like they are making all the staff aware that things are going on with my mom. So far, we haven't had a bad experience.

My husband and I chose this community because we were looking for a community that had more attentive care and a more friendly community. We found that here. The management is very friendly and they are open to having pets in the building. I appreciate that. The food here is very good and tasty. The housekeeping has been okay and the building is maintained okay. A maintenance person came in to help my husband with his phone and set up his TV. The caregivers are good about reminding my husband about meals and taking his showers. They seem very kind and responsive to my requests when I see anything that could be improved. We are pleased so far.

My mother recently moved into this community and so far is pleased. Management has been fairly responsive and helpful in figuring things out. I can pop my head into the office anytime I need to. The food has been good. My mother is happy with the food and with the service there. She says the servers are very helpful and responsive when they are serving the food. Housekeeping has kept her bathroom clean and it always looks nice in the common areas. Her room always looks clean. The staff are doing an excellent job with the laundry. Josh, the maintenance guy, is really great. When things need to be fixed, he comes immediately. She had some issues with her lock and he came right away and changed her lock completely to make it easier for her. The caregivers are wonderful. They are welcoming and helpful. We have been happy with this community so far.
