Morningside of Conyers

We are happy. When you see the premises you automatically get a serene feeling. When you walk in, it is quiet and it is restful for my mom. The lady that we talked to is extremely nice, and the staff has been extremely nice. They listen to our needs, and they respond quickly. Everybody is happy, and everybody knows what is going on. The dining staff knock on my mom's door 30 minutes prior to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If she doesn't feel like going to the dining area, they will bring her her breakfast. They made sure that she sits with the ladies that she knows so she has made a effort to get there on time and have her meals with her friends.

Every time I go, her apartment is always clean and everything is done. She loves all of the staff. Her face brightens. Everybody is so loving to her, and she says they take such good care of her. I appreciate that action is taken whenever I call, and there's not a long wait. She feels good and happy, so that makes me feel like that.

Management has been really helpful and have gone out of their way to help us. The caregivers have been very good and helpful. From what I have seen the food looks pretty good and I hear he is participating in all of the activities.

It is a very nice area. I have space to move around and I am comfortable in it. I wasn't expecting to get a room this size. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. I get up and go down to breakfast and everything is put back together when I come back. She comes and gets my laundry, takes it down and brings it back all neatly folded. If there is anything I need, I can talk to the staff and they will make sure my request is taken care of.

I moved my mom in because of the overall impression I got. The staff seemed attentive, the community seemed clean and organized. It seemed to be a warm community and well-structured. It’s been very good for my mother, she seems very happy there. The managers are on top of things I am very comfortable communicating with them. One of the reasons I chose them, they aren’t slacking in housekeeping or laundry. Maintenance is on top of everything and there's no odors. She seems engaged and has no problems with the activities. I know they have bingo and they have game nights. I haven’t heard anything from her as far as being bored, and my mom has liked the food. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asked me.

We chose Morningside of Conyers because we just had to find a place because he was leaving the hospital and the ratings online were favorable. Dad was in another Assisted Living community and they're about the same price wise, but I like his apartment space here. He feels safe, comfortable and management has been wonderful to work with, plus they've done a lot for my father. The healthcare staff is all very nice and helpful, so they're just great. Regarding transportation, I am satisfied with the condition of the vehicles, flexibility and consistency of its service. I am very happy with the housekeeping because the rooms are kept clean and they take good care of my dad's clothes. My dad isn't really active and hasn't been able to walk for a while, but for what they have activity wise like Bingo, he'll do that and enjoys it. In general, activities are well planned and consistently offered for the residents at the community. My dad says the food is good and while I don't recall him saying anything specific, he hasn't complained about the food at all and the service has been fine. Overall, it's been a great experience for him and I really like the community, so I'd recommend it to anybody.

It's close to here, my mom knew people there through church and also the price. The management has a real positive, friendly attitude, they have open communication and I really like that. I've been very satisfied with the care, it's been fine. I've eaten with her there and to me the food tastes great. Housekeeping has been fine as well and there are plenty of activities.

The staff is making my mother feel at home. They have a great chef there and she really cares about her residents, really more than I would expect from a facility. They are doing her laundry and she hasn't complained about things disappearing like they were at the other facility. She seems to be very happy. Al is another one that gets a gold star. He is one that bends over backwards. My mother is a very particular person. Al has been great. He has really been quite remarkable helping her do all of her little things to make her place look perfect. The building is beautiful. I haven't picked up on your normal hospital smells or urine. It has been quite pleasant when I have been in. The care givers are doing a fine job. Shekita the chef, Roslyn, Al and Darrel have gone over and beyond to make us feel welcomed, loved and cared for. Hats off to them for doing such a great job.

Management has been very respectful and very pleasant in their interactions with us during my father-in-law's respite stay. I do feel that we really noticed a little bit of an improvement in his engagement upon his return and we feel pretty happy about that. He got some additional interaction that he doesn't normally get when it's just my husband and me. To me that means he had some stimulation there that was good for him. As far as we know the dining seemed fine and we heard feedback that he ate really well while he was there, which is good. I think they did pretty well with his care. Overall, I think it was a good stay there.

We chose to move our mother into the community because it was such a bright and inviting atmosphere. From what I have seen so far the management team has been pretty good. They have explained things and gone over the paperwork. I've made a few visits and they have been accommodating. She is getting much more exercise here than she did at home with all the activities they have going on. For the price and other places I've looked at I feel it is a pretty good value.
