Morningside of Gainesville

My father made the decision for himself and my mother based off of people he knew that used them in the past and their reviews online. He was mainly impressed with the cleanliness, food, and activity schedule. Since moving in, the nursing staff and medtechs all seem very capable and caring. They really have been willing to listen to our concerns and work with us. We haven't had problems with maintenance. The manager seems to be capable, and handles anything that comes up. They're doing a good job with housekeeping, and I have no qualms with laundry. I think the dining is nutritous, healthy, and well prepared. The wait service is very attentive. My parents participate in their music offerings, church, and things of that nature. The Executive Director is always there, very helpful and truly has the residents' best interest at heart. Overall, it's actually probably one of the best values for what is offered in our area.

My mom really enjoyed it there and misses everybody. It was a wonderful community, and it was family. The food is really good. They did have fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. They had bingo played cards, and she really liked the art in activities. The care staff always came when my mom needed them. The maintenance did whatever my mom needed. It was pretty prompt. The laundry was good, and the housekeeper is a really nice person. The management team was always consoling to me.

The one meal I had was very good and from what I have seen on the schedule the activities are pretty good. Everything looks good regarding housekeeping and maintenance. Everyone I have come into contact with has been nice and respectful. I think everything went as best as it could.

They seem to take care of everything and seem to be on top of mom's care. Mom is happy so I am happy. They remodeled the place a little while ago and it looks really good. I would say she is very satisfied with the care she receives.

I chose this community for my mom because we were recommended by some of our Sunday school members. They had some family members there and had a nice experience. Management has been helpful, everything has been seamless, and we haven't had any problems. The healthcare staff have been very attentive. There is good dining room service, they provide you with what you need and you have menu choices. The food tastes really well. When my mom moved in, people came in to greet her, introduced themselves and said they were available if she needed them. Everything is very clean and it's very homey, it's like my mother would have her home. It's a wonderful and caring community and the residents are very nice too.

We chose this community for my father-in-law because I think the staff was very important. It was very light and bright and I liked that. I feel like it is a good value. My father-in-law moved from the Midwest and for what he is receiving it is an excellent value. The dining department is very willing to accommodate desires. I believe they offer enough activities. They also come around to the rooms to encourage residents to attend. They have been very quick to respond to requests we've had in his apartment from maintenance.

We chose this community because we were referred from different healthcare professionals. Management has been so wonderful and helpful. They have been on top of everything. They have even worked late to make sure his pharmacy things were done right. My dad says he likes the food. He likes that they have pizza and shrimp. He enjoys the activities they have there. The housekeepers seem to be awesome. Maintenance came and set up his TV for him when he moved in. His fridge quit working and they immediately replaced it. I love his apartment and it is very well kept. The maintenance man always remembers who we are and it is nice that he is there all the time. The building is very nice. When he injured himself the staff took him to the ER and back. That was awesome. That was good because I had the flu and didn't want to go there and expose everybody. He is doing better now than he has in years because the caregivers are giving him his medication and helping him manage his diabetes. They run this place very well and the people are very welcoming. I am very impressed.

The management is very proactive in being involved with her. There are constantly cheering her on to make it down the hall to make it to meals. They are quick to respond to us if we have a question so we like that a lot. They have been really good at helping with the changes in her medications. I know them on a first name basis. The one activity that she is fired up about is bingo. She enjoys that and looks forward to the church services. The food appears to be very good. The building is very clean and very well run. We met the maintenance guy there and he said that if we ever need anything fixed to let him know. He came in and introduced himself when we first came there. We have been very satisfied with the care.

I would definitely recommend them, they were caring. They were always helpful when we needed something. The food was always served hot and was a good variety. They were very good. We were pleased with the care that we received and we were informed. Housekeeping and maintenance were always good. Overall we were very happy with Morningside, I wish we were still there instead of long term care where we are now. We would go back in a heartbeat if we could.

Management has been attentive, responsive and very available whenever there is a question or something that needs to be addressed. Cindy has just been terrific, she is great. Twayne in maintenance has been terrific whenever there is something we need. My friend calls him Superman because he is very accommodating and nice. The healthcare staff tries very hard, they are caring and sincere people. For her condition, I think the staff have been very accomodating. We needed a place last minute for her and they have been jus terrific.
