Morningside House of Friendship

They do bingo, they go shopping, they color and paint. They have a lot of variety, they do real well in the activities department. It's a older community and they've come in and painted, placed new carpet, gotten new furniture and lamps so that's all up to date and modern. The value is comparable to everywhere else. I know if there is ever an isue I am able to take care of it.

I chose Morningside for my mother because of the location, the atsmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. This place always smells fresh. My mom is a very picky eater and she is enjoying the food. So far everyone I have interacted with have been more than accomondating, they listen to my questions. My mom has participated in at least two outings and she enjoyed both. My husband and I have picked her up for church and they get her up and make sure she's ready and they even bring her downstairs to meet us. There are so many reasons why I like the care there. She is definitely getting quality care.

My brother definitely is getting the level of care that he is paying for. Whenever I go in, the caretakers are very accessible and available. They went through that whole big renovation so everything is kind of new and fresh in the building itself in the common areas. I've interacted with the staff and talked to them and they're very respectful. They offer a lot of things on the calendar and he goes down and participates in the ones that he wants to. From what I see on the calendar, there's a lot to do. They're very respectful in that they clean the rooms. They know when to go in and all of that and are very helpful to him and keep the room clean. It has been great.

So far we love it. There's this one band that comes in that she really enjoys. She actually went down and started dancing with is new for her, so that's good! They are consistent. This one band is there quite a bit. When she was home, before she entered Morningside, she was really kind of a mess. She was getting up in the morning or getting her medications timely. My sister and I couldn't help her the way she needed to be helped because we didn't have the background or knowledge. She wasn't eating properly, she slept most of the day, she wouldn't be aware of what was going on around her, but now she is very sharp and back to normal. Anytime there is an issue they will step in and help, which has been great.

The receptionist Melissa is wonderful. She's the type of person you want. They're really on things. Keisha is the director and she is fabulous. She is visible; she's out talking to the residents. Katie and Caitlyn are good too. We use the transportation every month, they are wonderful. The bus is very nice, big windows they can see out of. My parents do trips, play Bingo and she does Wii bowling. They have a good variety. My mother loves John and the food. He does little talks on the food and things like that. He also helps them. My mother just says that he wishes more people were like John. Any concerns I have I know I can take to Lisa. It's been great there.

The price is good. I think it is fair for the services my father is receiving. I am satisfied.

Management is easy to talk to, and they explain things well. We haven't had any complaints regarding housekeeping or dining. The building itself looks great. She's been in three other communities, and this is the best so far.

Management is pretty responsive to any issues that arise and they try to work with you. My loved one does the activities and occasionally will paint. They keep her room clean and the overall building is fine. They just brought in some new furniture in the common area and it's been pleasant.

We made a good decision coming to Morningside. It's in a good location for us and we see him as much as we possibly can. My father is very happy with how they give him food that he likes. He always has clean clothes and they pick up the pieces in his room. They have a good maintenance department and the place looks beautiful. The healthcare staff has been able to respond to any of his discomforts and the doctor's staff attends to him with getting him to the hospital. The medicine is distributed on a regular basis and he really likes the staff.

The care staff is great. They are always on the ball, they are good people. I think the housekeeping staff is great too. You have some good people there. I think it is a pretty good value.
