Morningside House of Friendship

I think it's a very good value. They take very good care of my loved one. It's a good price for what she gets. They're good at communicating and letting us know what's going on. Activities seem to be very good. It's generally pretty tidy and things are cleaned on time. I haven't had any notable concerns.

Management has been forthcoming and fairly accurate to my understanding. We have been very satisfied with the activities. My parents have enjoyed the ones that they have attended. There seems to be a good variety. My mother really enjoyed it. She said the lady driving the van was really knowledgeable. I have gone to the caregivers and asked for a run down on my parents care and they have been responsive in that sense. They do a very good job with my parents. My mom does not always accept outside help so the staff works hard to be able to help her. So far the experience has been pretty good.

You can see the money that goes into the community. You see the level of care and the interactions. I hope they continue to have that vision and mindset. I hope they continue to evaluate themselves. I've already recommended the community to others. I've talked about the level of care, how the staff interacts with the residents, the location, field trips, and other activities, and the in-house services as well. Not to mention the little sanctuary behind the building where you can see the flowers and all that stuff. It just always seems like the cafeteria is always busy, seems to be a good crew working. There is always entertainment set up, and the atmosphere is very inviting. There is always something going on, that's for sure. It depends on my mom's mood and what she wants to do. Seems like Morningside is definitely thriving.

Despite the expense, I think it is a very good value. It appears there is a lot available to do. The main areas are well taken care of. Jim is very personable. I feel good about the care staff and I like them. When something is wrong with my dad, they come to me and talk to me and let me know what is going on. I am happy with the place.

Based on other facilities I have read about, the value is good. I am very satisfied with the management. The food is very good and my sister says the food is good. They have a lot of good activities from what I've seen and heard. The housekeeping does a very good job and the transportation is doing well. The healthcare staff is very supportive and compassionate. My sister gets her medication and everything is on time. If she has any needs, the staff is very responsive.

The location is very close to where I live. My mother was diagnosed with Dementia, and the fact that Morningside House specializes in Memory Care made me choose this location. She loves her apartment. She has a view of the trees and so she has a sense of passing time. The grounds are very nice, we often sit outside. They replanted the flowers and she noted that. The building is fantastic. The Memory Care staff is fantastic, they're just so nice. I think the caretakers are anxious to help and enthusiastic, always smiling. I've been happy with virtually everything.

It's a fair price. I would like to move in. For the price, it offers the most, and it was the nicest facility we looked at. When we were moving my mom in the management staff were the people we dealt with were wonderful. They have a wide variety of activities, hitting all the areas people would be interested in. The nurses seem to be very knowledgeable. The receptionists and aides, everyone, is very nice and makes everyone feel at home and comfortable. We are hoping she misses it and wants to move back. But at 93 we want her to be happy.

The price is alright. The management staff helps me with different problems. The food and service are good. There are a lot of different activities. There is a lot to do and a lot of people participate. My room is kept clean and they make my bed. The vehicle is in good shape. They are doing fine. They come in regularly to check on me and do things.

We're really happy. My mom being at this particular place has made it so we can sleep at night honestly. It was just a warm environment, the grounds were impeccable and I definitely felt a connection with the person in the business office. I felt like they were warm, understanding and provided me with all the information I needed. It was large enough, but not too big. A huge added value was the progressive nature of the care because you don't want to have to move your loved one from facility to facility. The caregivers have been really attentive, they really have.

The building is fine and they just renovated it and it looks beautiful. Every time I have called up there the management staff have been pretty responsive. It seems like they have a good dining menu. My father-in-law even lived here too.
