They have a monthly calendar for the activities, the housekeeping is good and maintenance came right away when I needed them.

The staff ensured our needs would be met and they walked us through the situation step by step. Susan was on the phone with me it felt like 24/7. She was very accessible and any questions I had she was able to answer even on her day off. They give personal attention. It is very welcoming. I met with the head nurse and she assured me that Morningside was able to meet all of my mother's needs. They are very committed to making sure her needs are met and that they are providing her the best care possible.

Management has been very friendly and they help with anything they can help us with. The caregivers are pretty good. They gave my dad his medicine on time and came to his room if he wasn't already sitting out. My dad and step-mother say they like the dining. The housekeeping has been pretty good and they keep the room and bathrooms clean.

My step father pointed the community out to me and then it was the fabulous customer service I received from Kathy Lavin, she was very helpful in walking me through the process and what I needed to do. From the first time we visited, I just got a good feeling from the staff , they seemed very concerned, helpful and pleasant and he seemed to receive everybody well.

As a whole, Morningside House itself is extremely clean and neat. The management staff are all very kind, caring and respectful. They know all of the people who are in there. I think the food is good and there is a good variety in the meals.

If there is something wrong, the staff is calling me and letting me know about it. There is a big calendar of activities in the lobby and one in her room, so I know she partakes in them.

The staff are excellent in working with us to help make everything run smoothly. My mother doesn't complain about the food and she's gained weight so she's obviously eating. The staff is very good about checking in if the residents don't show up at their table to make sure they get their meals. The nursing staff are good. They know when to get my mom's meds to her and the head nurse sets up meetings to let us know how she's doing. The activities director, Denise, is excellent. She's good at getting the residents involved, especially my mother.

We chose Morningside House of Laurel for my aunt because of the proximity to the family and the niceness of the community. I don’t know any additional costs she might incur, but so far the value is very good. Her apartment is very nice. They have a variety of activities, and she seems to enjoy the food. The care givers are all very nice and compassionate. The managers have been very responsive to any concerns or questions we've had. The whole point of placing her there was her safety and health and she is definitely safe and comfortable.

My aunt and I chose Morningside House of Laurel because of the location. The managers are very sensitive to our needs and responded when I needed something for my aunt. They made the transition smooth. The Activities Director, Denise, is excellent. She tries to include my aunt even though my aunt is reluctant and they're very good activities. The Kitchen Manager is a very nice lady who tries, and I think it's good food. Her room is clean, doesn’t small, her laundry is done, hung up or put in drawers. Maintenance is very quick to respond to anything we need. We’re satisfied with the value, she gets a lot for her money and my aunt is safe there.

I thought the dining facility was very nice and the food was definitely good, wholesome and prepared very well, and my mom's room is always clean. When she was outside of MC, there were activities every day and when she was capable of taking part, she did, so I think she really made use of the facility until she started to go downhill and they do have a number of activities.
