Staff is flexible and accommodating
My mother has settled in and is content. The community is very clean and the residents look comfortable and well cared for. Sandra is the Director and she is very personable, knowledgeable, she answers my questions, and she volunteers information that I don't ask about. The gal at the front desk is very personable. A man in a wheelchair went to the front desk and I happened to be nearby. He was not clear about what he wanted and I was not even understanding it, but the lady said they would take care of it for him and if they could not, they would call his son. That whole interaction took five minutes and I was so impressed with her patience. There was an old lady sitting at a table and I watched some of the wait staff kneel down and talk to her face to face. Not everyone does that but it is exceptional. Even the ones who stand up are very helpful because often you can't clearly understand what the residents want, so they are patient and give them the time to express what they want. If they don't like what they get, the servers say no problem and then they bring something else. I like the idea that they are flexible. She likes to get her nails done on Saturday so I take her down and she gets that done. She enjoys participating in some of the games. Her room is neat and clean. If you go to the bathroom in the main areas, they are clean.
